The sky was bright and the sun was in the middle of the sky when they had started to get close. They moved slowly through the flowers, making sure not to make so much noise and movement.
Juniper peaked through the plants and saw nobody there.
"There's nobody there, but they won't sleep out randomly in the arena. They'll be back." She looked back at the group, who were all crouched down, holding weapons in hand. "Are you sure you're all ready for this?"
Everyone nodded. "Follow my steps."
Juniper emerged from the flowers and stepped lightly through the grass, avoiding all the landmines in the area. Everyone followed her steps exactly, keeping in mind what would happen if they didn't.
They made it to the metal structure, raiding through the bags the careers had left.
"What now?" Sierra whispered.
"We wait for them to come back." Sylvia grabbed a spare axe laying on the ground, holding it with both hands. "Then we fight."
The group waited quietly and patiently for about an hour. Sierra picked up a bow that was laying on the ground and held it, pretending to shoot a few arrows, practicing. Colby was swinging his sword around. Sylvia and Sawyer were catching up on some sleep, and Juniper kept an eye out.
The wait felt forever, and Juniper began wondering on where the careers had went.
She also had wondered if Wade was alright. By turning on the careers, they could assume he would turn on them too since they were close. She had hoped nothing bad had happened because of her choice.
Juniper had finally felt vibrations go through her feet and some distant talking.
"Wake up, they are here." She whispered, shaking awake her two friends. Sierra and Colby tensed up, but hid.
Sierra and Colby held a long rope in their hands, Colby took one end and ran through the small field into the tall flowers, avoiding any landmines on his way. Sierra stayed put, holding the other end tightly.
"I'm going to kill her!" Juniper heard a female yell, Elysia.
Sylvia and Sawyer hid in different spots while Juniper stayed out in the open. She saw the flowers begin to move, and out came three of the careers. Elysia stood there holding her bow and Adrian and Maverick with their swords.
Juniper questioned where Wade was.
"You!" Adrian yelled. He took a few steps forward. "You killed Livia!"
