tw: talk of noose

Previously...

Johanna had just arrived at the training center. Finnick immediately put down his things and went up to her.

"Sleep in?" Finnick teased, standing in front of his best friend. Johanna yawned, looking around the room.

"No, where's Lennox?"

Finnick deflated. "Am I not enough company for you?" He held a hand over his chest, acting hurt.

He wasn't actually offended, however, he had wondered what peoples obsession with Lennox Hale was. He was an attractive guy- Finnick will give him that. However, everyone seemed close to him. Johanna, Juniper-

Why would he care about Juniper?

He tried to shake the thought out of his internally as Johanna looked around the room, but he completely zoned out into his thoughts. He remembered the first time he saw Juniper with Lennox. They had just met- yet they looked so happy together. That was the first moment Juniper started treating him differently.

He hated Juniper for the way she changed after the games. It's like she stopped caring about everyone in her life. First, his sister. Then her own grandmother. After all of that, she seemed fine. She just kept singing like it meant nothing to her.

Finnicks feeling of hatred when through his mind. He pointed out her every little flaw to himself. One by one, starting to bring her down in his mind. He remembered when he walked into that pub because he heard her singing. She voice cracked, he noticed it immediately. But she played it off. Her entire performance turned out amazing, the entire pub had loved it, he had loved-

"Earth to Odair? You there?" Johanna punched him in the shoulder. He took a step back, placing a hand on his right shoulder- where he was just impacted. He slightly groaned in pain. "Whatcha thinking about?"

"Nothing." He quickly said.

"Can you grab Lennox for me?" Johanna asked, pointing to where he was standing. "He's over there. I have to grab our stuff."

Before Finnick answered, Johanna thanked him and walked away. He walked over to a training room that Lennox was sitting on the outside of, watching what was going on inside.

"Johanna wants to train with you." Finnick voiced coldly.

"I'll be there in a minute, I want to watch how Juniper handles this first." Lennox pointed inside the room. Finnick stood next to Lennox, but kept his distance. The first thing he saw was her standing up in her spot, an arrow almost piercing her chest if she slacked for just a second longer.
