It had been a full week since Finnick's arrival in District 13.

Prim noticed Finnick didn't really talk to anybody, and it took him a while to barely open up to Prim. It was only when Prim mentioned a word about Juniper's condition when Finnick would sit up in bed.

That's when Prim knew Finnick did care about Juniper. She had started giving Finnick frequent updates on Juniper's condition in private, which was eventually relayed to Cashmere. Finnick began noticing the glances made towards Cashmere. He also noticed people talking about Juniper Plinth and how she might be an issue to the rebellion.

Finnick didn't have the energy to say anything. People talked, and he let them. He would barely raise his voice for anything besides when talking to either Prim, Katniss, or Cashmere. Every now and then, Haymitch would also check in on him.

He had lost a bit more than people thought he had. He lost three of his close friends to the Capitol- Lilo, Annie, and Johanna. He had also lost Juniper.

During the Quarter Quell, Finnick Odair had spend most of his time with Juniper Plinth. During that time, for the first time in a while he felt a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He didn't know what that feelings was or what to describe it as. When he found out she was in a coma, that same weight had been put back on him.

Though, in one way he felt free. However, it wasn't a good kind of feeling. He felt as if it was temporary.

He didn't know what to think of Juniper. Now that word about her killing Capitol citizens was known throughout this district and the rebellion, he felt as if siding with her would make him a problem as well. Thoughts about his sister that had passed years before arose. Finnick had been angry at Juniper for so long, she had killed the one thing he strived to protect.

Finnick can't say he hadn't made the same mistake after his games. After denying Snow's deal, his mother was killed.

"Finnick." Prim knocked. "Are you in there?"

"Come in." His voice cracked.

"Are you alright? I've been calling for you for about a minute." Prim stood at the door, worry was written all over his face.

Prim was stationed to Finnick permanently a few days after he arrived. Nobody seemed to be able to reach out to him like she was able to do. Finnick nodded, answering her question. He looked at her waiting for an unspoken question.

Prim sighed, walking in and leaning on the door behind her, closing it slowly. She took a few steps towards Finnick. She noticed the rope in his hand. His fingertips seemed a bit bruised and red, likely from pulling on the rope all day long.
