"Um, excuse me," I say, making my way to Grace who is waiting for me inside the jet .

"I'm so beautiful," he says, extending his hand.

"I-I meant, you're Lucas Miller."

God, Lord, I spent so many years of my life as "Ivy Kennedy" only to realize I'm Lucas Miller, shocker right? I might have had a straight face, but deep inside, I died laughing.

"what I meant was that I'm Lucas Miller and you're really pretty."

I mean, don't get me wrong, I get compliments daily, but from him, it just hit different. I don't think he was meant to say that because his face was as red as a tomato.

I enter the jet and She must have heard me entering because without turning around, she says, "Hi, Ivy. I got black coffee for you beca-" she turns around, and she stops speaking midway. Her expressions turn horrid, as if she saw some ghost or something.

"What's wrong, ivy ? Are you okay ? Your whole face is red. Do you want me to call you a doctor? " she asks.

"No, um, I'm fine," I say, and she suddenly smiles. "Wait a damn minute, are you blushing, Ivy? I just saw you talking to Lucas Miller, is that the reason?" she says with a teasing smile. "What, pshhh no, it's not, it's - it's the humidity, you know, that's just it." She smiles harder. "Right, of course, that's totally it." She leaves it at that, and I've never been more thankful.

"Anyway, as I was saying, I got you black coffee. I doubt you would have had breakfast," she hands me the cup, and I just stare at her and the cup dumbfounded . "It's not your job, Grace," I say. My voice is merely a whisper. "I know it's not my job, Ivy, but I was worried you're just not gonna eat anything, so I bought you coffee." I'm shook . I've never had someone take care of me, so it is indeed a big deal .

"Um, well, thank you," she just smiles. I settle in my seat and take a sip of my coffee, which reminds me that I have not eaten anything for almost four days now and I feel weaker every day. I should stop, I know, but every time I look at any kind of food, I remember all their words all over again, and not only do I lose my appetite, but I also feel nauseous.

Celeste settles down and the jet starts flying. She and I are sitting face to face. Grace is sitting next to me. "Ivy, I wanted to say that Lucas, he's never like this, you know. He is quite literally the playboy of our group and quite the charmer when it comes to girls, but I don't know what happened to him today. So, what I'm trying to say is, please don't mind him," she says with a tight-lipped smile and I just nod. "Don't worry, Celeste. I don't think Ivy will mind anything. If anything, I think she found him cute," Grace says with a teasing smile. "She doesn't speak for me," I say, giving her my nastiest glare, but she's unaffected. For some reason, my glares don't work on her. "Excuse me, please," I say, going to the room on the jet.
