"Well, if it isn't THE Lucas Miller," a high-pitched voice of a girl cuts him. I look in the direction of the voice to see a 5-foot-nothing blondie standing, in what basically can be called a handkerchief around her chest."Hi, um, do I know you?" Lucas asks with a polite smile. The girl starts laughing for some reason. "Aww, well, aren't you a cutie. Two years ago, I styled your costume," she says, pulling his cheeks. She's on her toes with 5-inch heels, so I step aside to help her and because it's none of my business. Just as I'm stepping aside, Lucas grabs my wrist and pulls me between them. He awkwardly laughs at the girl.
"What are you doing, Storm? Save me," he whispers in my ear, making me smile. I hide it with a cough. The girl in front, who was rambling, finally notices me. "Um, hi, I'm Cassie," she says. I nod. "Ivy Kennedy." "Of course, who doesn't know you," she replies. I nod again, looking away.
She turns to Lucas. "So, you look hot, hotter than the sun, if I must say. You're working out, nice," she says, squeezing his bicep and giggling like a lunatic. "Thanks, I guess," Lucas says, laughing awkwardly. He pulls me even closer and stands directly behind me, only his face visible above my head.
"So, um, like we should meet sometime soon, and maybe you can work me out," she says with a wink, making me want to spill my guts. "Do something"he whispers again . "Um, okay, I'm gonna save you the embarrassment, girl. He's not interested in you, he was just being polite," I interject. She scoffs, "Who told you to interfere? He so likes me." "No, he doesn't," Lucas says hastily. "Um, I mean, I'm sorry, whoever you are, I don't remember you, I don't know your name, and I'm really not interested."
"Yeah, well, you will be once you get in a room with me." "Ugh," I can't even hide my gag this time. Lucas looks at me amused, and the girl looks extremely offended. Ignoring me, she tries to take his hand, but he immediately holds my wrist. "Um, we have that thing at that place," he says. I quickly get the memo and nod. We practically run away from that girl as she yells his name from behind.
"That was something," I say as I take a sip of my coffee. "Seriously, and who told you to step aside, you're supposed to help me in situations like these," he says with a grouchy face. "I just thought that maybe you like her so..." I trail off, biting my lip from the inside. He stares me dead in the eye, "How-i-y you know what, never mind," he says, taking a deep breath. I burst out laughing, and he starts laughing too.
"anyway I forgot to tell you that , after the concert , we all are going out for dinner , and you're coming too " shit I forgot to tell him . "um , I can't " "why not ?" he asks with a grouchy face " actually today at midnight Grace and I are leaving for Greece , so I have to pack for the trip after the concert " and I cannot not pack because the complains this time will go straight to memaw which is pure evil . He looses his smile as soon as he hears that . "how long will you be gone ?" "a week " he nods .

I step out of the changing room with the dress I bought for the concert. "God, I'm fucking ugly," is my first thought as I look in the mirror. I straighten my hair and do some light makeup. I exit the room without looking again in the mirror to go meet Luca the last time, and then go back to Celeste and everyone else. I knock on the door entering the room to see him doing something with his guitar. He turns around and holy shit. For a moment, I forgot to breathe.
