"Well, you're just gonna have to take a gamble for once and come with me," I say. "Come where?" Come on my fac-shut up you fucking idiot. "Um, that's for me to know and you to find out," I say with a smirk. I make my way to where she's sitting and ask for her hand. "So tell me Ivy, what's it gonna be?" she says nothing and just places her hand in mine without thinking twice, making me smile.

I take her hand and guide her through the woods. "Lucas, you brought me here to kill, didn't you?" I smile, although I don't think she can see it due to the darkness. "Shit, you figured it out?" I play along. "So, are you ready for it?" I ask, and she looks confused and looks at me. I nod my head slightly towards the front. She looks ahead and audibly gasps. Her eyebrows raise in awe, and her eyes look straight ahead. "Oh my god," she whispers. "I know, right?" I say, smiling at her.

She takes a step forward. "How did you even find this place?" she asks looking at me . I just shrug. "When I shifted here, I discovered the skating rink and then got lost and found this spectacular place." . after a pause I say "Some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost, now can they?" I say, looking at her. "It's like a dream." she says looking at the view with hooded eyes . I chuckle. "It gets better, look up."

"It gets better, look up," he says, chuckling

"It gets better, look up," he says, chuckling. I look up at the tree he is pointing to, just to see the most beautiful treehouse decorated with fairy lights with a wooden staircase. This looks straight out of a book. I can't even imagine what it would be like sitting here on a rainy day. I look at him and just stare at him, unable to get the words out of my throat. We both say nothing and just stare at each other. I break the eye contact after a minute since it feels overwhelming. "T- this looks straight out of a book." He chuckles and that voice does something to my stomach. "Come on, let's go up"

We both reach the top and the view is to die for. We both are sitting at the entrance of the treehouse with our legs hanging. "Do you come here every day?" I ask, leaning my head against the wall of the treehouse. "Hm hm, I usually come here to practice my singing so people don't kick me out of the neighborhood. Plus, it's peaceful," he says after a pause. "It's kind of my escape, you know? It keeps me sane." " To then do it ," I say too soon, without even thinking.
