Lucky for her, before she could utter one more word from her disgusting mouth, the food arrives. But for me, it was quite the contrary. I had already eaten at home and now I couldn't eat anymore. I've barely been able to regularly have one meal a day, let alone two.
"Are you sure you'll be able to eat all this, Celeste?" Mabel asks.
"Excuse me?" Maddie replies.
"No, I mean, look at it-the burgers are so greasy, and with fries? Do you even want to fit in your ball dress?" Mabel says, laughing and snorting .
"Shut up, Mabel!" Grace yells.
"What is wrong with you today?" Lucas finally speaks up.
Celeste says nothing, but even a fool could tell she's upset. She shifts closer to Felix, who immediately wraps his arms around her, he says nothing but he looks angry.
"No, really, I'm just looking out for her. Look at her-she's fat already. Having even more of this kind of food will make her look horrific. No one will ever want her. Felix won't either, and I wouldn't even blame him," Mabel says with such ease that it makes me want to rip her face off.
Celeste stands up shrugging Felix's hand off and leaves the table, tears visible in her eyes. "Celeste!" Maddie and Grace run after her. Felix starts to go too, but I stop him.
"Felix, wait here. Let us talk to her first."
"No, Ivy, I'm not leaving her alone."
"I get it, but she just needs some space. We'll be back, I promise."
He's not okay with it, but he agrees anyway.
"You're lucky I don't hit women," Felix says to Mabel.
"He doesn't, but I do. " I say, stepping up. "You got in my head somehow, but I'll be damned if I let you do to her what you did to me. Stay away from the three of them, and pray she doesn't take your words seriously, or I'll personally guarantee you a trip to the nearest hospital."
"Enough, Ivy," Lucas says and that, is exactly how I lose my cool.
"Shut the hell up, Lucas Miller. That girl right there considered you her brother, but your so hypnotized by this bitch that you don't even realise what you're doing anymore" I snap as I rush to find Celeste and the others.
I found them at the back of the mall. Celeste is sobbing on Maddie's shoulder while Grace wipes her tears.
"Celeste, she's a bitch, and you told me that yourself. Why would you even listen to her?" I say.
"But she's right," Celeste whispers.
"No, she's not. She's never right, Celeste."
"No, but Felix has been acting nervous around me. Like he's hiding something. Yesterday, I heard him on the phone, whispering 'I'll be there' and 'Get the room ready.' I didn't even have the strength to confront him."
