Maddie and I enter his house. "Ivy," Celeste greets me with a bright smile, but her expression falters when she notices the bandage on my forehead. "I'm okay, Celeste," I say, giving her a fake smile. I've realized something: people don't know my real smile well enough to distinguish it from a fake one, so I can easily fool them. Celeste sits down next to us. "Ivy, are you okay, meeting Bella and all," she says, trailing off with a tight-lipped smile. "Why wouldn't I be, Celeste? I don't understand why everyone keeps asking this, but there is nothing between us. We are just friends, and I'm happy for him."

She sighs. "Yeah, about that, don't be. I hate to say this about anyone, let alone his girlfriend, but she's the biggest bitch of the century. I despise her. She doesn't care about anyone but herself, always making mean comments, and in front of Lucas, she acts like the most innocent girl ever. Sadly, Lucas always believes her. I was so happy when she left him; I thought everything would change, but here we are again." Wow, she really doesn't like her.

"Honestly, that's his choice, so we can't really say anything about that," Maddie says, and I nod. Looking around, I can't see Grace anywhere. "By the way, where's Grace?" I ask. "Felix, Lucas, and Phoenix are outside trying to barbecue, so she went out to see if they need help."
"Oh."

"You came," I hear his voice. I turn around with a small fake smile. "Of course, I came. How could I not? And I told you last night, Lucas, I'm looking forward to meeting her." He nods, looking skeptical, his jaw clenched. I smirk internally. He can't even win the game he started.

"Yeah, she's about to come, just two blocks away." We all nod. "Excuse me, I need to make a call," Maddie leaves, and seconds later, everyone arrives back. Grace smiles, waving at me while walking.

"Hi, Ivy. What happened? You okay with everything?" She says pointing at the bandage on my head and Lucas . I roll my eyes, too tired to explain everything again. "Ivy Kennedy, y'all," Phoenix smiles, and I wave at him .

"So guys, since we couldn't barbecue to save our lives, we should just order pizza." phoenix says .

"We were barbecuing until you, being the idiot you are, decided to drop a glass of water on it," Felix says, making everyone laugh.

"I knew you would be doing something stupid, so I ordered it the minute you entered," Lucas says.

We all go inside the kitchen. Shit, there's alcohol. Everyone starts making themselves a drink. This is not going to end well for me.its okay I can just leave if things go south .
"Here, Ivy," I look to see Grace offering me a glass.

"I don't drink, Grace, and you know that."

"I do, and this is just juice, so you don't feel left out," she says, giving a mischievous smile.

"In a wine glass?" I smile lightly, making her shrug.

"Hi, baby," someone says. This voice sounds oddly familiar. "Bella," Lucas smiles, hugging her.
