3rd Person's POV:
"Changbin!" The boy halted when he heard the voice of the girl. "Is any of your student named Kim Seungmin?" Chanmi asked and Changbin nodded. "His parents sent this mail for him." She showed him an envelope. "They are workers from the South Wing, and this was accidentally sent to one of my students." She handed him and he nodded. "I will pass it to him."
He nodded and was about to walk but Chanmi stopped him. "What are your plans for now?" Changbin looked around as if to avoid eye contact. "I- uh- I kind of have some work regarding the organization of students and all with Chan Hyung." He replied and Chanmi caught onto the hesitant tone of his voice. "So, you are going to him, like right now?" She asked and he nodded.
"Do you want some help?" He asked and she shook her head, looking to the side. "I thought it's been a while and we can go get some dinner together, but I will find Iseul and Byeol Unnie. You go and work." She gestured him and waved her hands. Changbin smiled and internally cursed because he had to pass on the opportunity to have a dinner with her. "Bye." She smiled and Changbin smiled back.
He turned and started to walk towards the students' dorms. He reached towards Seungmin's room and saw Jisung and Seungmin both standing outside. "Seungmin!" The boy stopped and looked back at his trainer. "Yes, sir?" Changbin handed him the envelope. "Your parents sent this. It accidentally went to another student earlier." Seungmin nodded and bowed. When Changbin's eyes landed on Jisung, the latter only scowled and looked at him. Changbin rolled his eyes and walked away, to his original destination.
He passed down the West Wing's training rooms and went towards an abandoned but well-lit hallway. The hallways had CCTV cameras, but all of them showed no signs of anyone entering the hall as they had a recording installed within them.
Jae smirked when he saw Changbin on the CCTV camera on one hallway but wasn't seen when he turned to the other hallway. The footage showed that the hall was empty, but Changbin actually entered the hallway. "Seems like they are having a meeting." He turned back and looked at the other CCTVs as if nothing happened.
On the other side, Changbin entered the hallway and went to the last room, where something was written that stated, "Authorized personnel only here". He entered the room after his fingerprint was scanned on the handle and walked inside.
The room had many boxes and things scattered and was very small. Changbin reached a spot and tapped on it, revealing a trapdoor. He climbed down the stairs and closed the trapdoor behind him. Down there, it was another hallway in the basement, which had some doors.
Changbin passed every room and each room's door had the labels of the rooms- Twice, ITZY, DAY6, GOT7, SKZ, Interrogation. He reached to the last one, which was next to GOT7 and DAY6 rooms and in front of the interrogation room. The room was marked as SKZ. Changbin opened the door and entered. He turned and saw his fellow teammates- Chan, Minho and Felix already waiting for him.
"So, I am late. Ain't I?" He mumbled and they nodded. "Where were you?" Chan asked. "Just caught up with some work and Chanmi also stopped me. I used your name to escape. Keep that in mind." He informed their leader and went to sit down on the chair that was placed for him.
"Let's start as now he is here." Chan said and they all now had their attention on him. "So have any of you noticed any strange student in your classes?" Chan asked and they all shook their head. "Not a divergent, but this one girl seems quite familiar to me." Minho said and handed Chan the sheet which had the details about the trainee.
"Jeon Hana? Is she a divergent or seems like one?" Chan asked and Minho shook his head. "No, she is brave like a West wing, but is not smart or powerful enough to be classified as a divergent. She doesn't remember her family or background. Must be one of those who were brainwashed before enlistment. But her facial features and her details seem a bit familiar to me." He told Chan who nodded.
"She doesn't even seem that she is from this district." Minho also told Chan, which made the latter hum. "I will give this to Jackson, he will dig and find some details about her." Minho nodded. "I actually had my eyes on this student, but he is not my student though." Minho said.
"Who?" Changbin asked. "His name is Hwang Hyunjin. He also doesn't seem like he is from this district." Chan nodded. "Who is his trainer?" "Iseul." Chan hummed. "If there was truly something wrong with him, Iseul would have reported, but she didn't." Felix said. "But isn't it strange that she has never reported about any divergent?" Changbin pondered.
"What do you mean? That my sister is one of them?" Minho scowled but Changbin shrugged. "I never said that, but she for sure has skills to be identified as one. I would have thought that she was a divergent if I didn't know that she has been here training since she was 13 and has been in this faculty since the past 11 years." Minho scoffed. "It was her and our bad luck that we even ended up in here at that young age." He had a bitter expression on his face.
Their parents passed away when Felix and Iseul were only 12 and Minho was 14. They were killed in one of the civil wars and the three kids were left all alone in this cruel world. They were born in West wings and their parents were West wingers as well. To start the training you have to be at least 15 years of age, but the students come to train at the age of 20-25 years mostly.
Just so that his siblings won't starve, and the three kids can survive, Minho started to do small jobs and take care of his siblings. He was a kid too, but never felt like one. He struggled and struggled so that those two can live comfortably. But he was approached by the officers as he was an orphan and was in the right time to enlist. He hesitated, not ready to leave his siblings, but one of the officers offered to him that both of his siblings can also get enlisted as well since they have no guardians.
This is the main reason how Felix and Iseul both ended up here after the personality test. Felix was originally assigned the East wing, but he chose west wing because he wanted to be close to his brother and sister. This was the main reason why he had to extend another year for training, which made him classmates with Changbin. Minho and Iseul had a total training period of 7 years and have been trainers since the past 4 years. Whereas Felix trained for 8 years and is a trainer since the past 3 years with Changbin.
Chan patted his arm and smiled encouragingly at him. "It will be all good." Minho nodded and sighed. Chan looked at Changbin. "Any updates from your side?" Changbin shook his head. "All clear for now." Chan nodded. "I also don't have any updates as of now. We are still keeping Mr. Park in check. If anyone of you spot any suspicious student, inform about him to me as soon as possible." He stood up and the three followed him as well.
"Meeting dismissed for the traitors of West Wing of district 9."
