3rd Person's POV:

Seungmin opened the envelope his parents sent him after settling down on his bed. Earlier he would only open or check something sent by his parents in the absence of Jisung, but since he is like him and his parents, he is not that much wary of him.

He furrowed his eyebrows and read the letter, "What?" He gulped and tears threatened to spill from his eyes. "All good?" Jisung questioned in concern. "No." Seungmin sighed. "Nothing is good." He held his hair in his hands out of frustration. "What happened?"

"They found out that my uncle was a divergent and he has been executed last week." He gulped and wiped his tears. "Last week? Was he Mr. Chankyu?" Jisung asked remembering what Iseul told him. Seungmin nodded.

"Yes, Kim Chankyu. He was the one who was actually collecting all the divergents from different wings. He sent many divergents to different wings so that they can keep an eye in every wing and find more of our kind. That is why I was sent here as well." Seungmin finished and Jisung went to him and patted his back.

"How did you know?" Seungmin asked. "Remember when Iseul came to our room and you find out about me being a divergent? She told me about him. Didn't you heard her though?" Seungmin shook his head. "I was shocked after hearing her question which she asked you. I did heard her when she said someone being killed, but I didn't quite got the name."

"I might pay a visit to my parents on our day off." He mumbled and Jisung nodded. "It's a good thing that they work in this faculty." Seungmin nodded.

Suddenly the alarm went off, alerting them for the evening classes. "Well, we need to get our asses for the training now." Seungmin sighed, not wanting to go feeling drained out. "You can skip though. Just inform them that you called in sick. You trainer will surely understand since you are his favorite." Jisung said and Seungmin nodded. "I think I will do that."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jisung walked inside and saw the other trainees already warming up and stretching. His mere presence made all of their heads snap in his direction. The girls eyed him with admiration and the boys' eyes him with jealousy. He didn't say anything and went to another corner and started to stretch as well, waiting for their trainer, Felix.
Han Jisung. This trainee is someone whom you don't want to mess up with. He was known as a very good and obeying student in his earlier days, but as the time passed and he reached the A rank, he became a pain in ass for the trainers. He was smart and always maintained himself, making him and eye candy for the girls and a threat for the boys.
He showed amazing skills and people thought that it was because of his high IQ, but in reality, he was like this because he was divergent. He never really cared about anyone and would have advanced to a high ranked official or maybe a trainer as well, but when he got to know that these trainers and officials are the reason why divergents can't live freely, and what fate they have to go through, he backed away.
He stopped doing much and showing his skills to the fullest. Although, he still will pick fights or do well during classes, but he didn't show his skills to the fullest. He got promoted to the Rank A within two years, but since the past 5 years of his training, he has stayed there and currently has no plans to go for any high-ranking job or anything.
But now, someone has shown him hope that he is not alone- Lee Iseul. The one trainer whom he thought was the worst of all was actually the one who has been trying to protect him. She knew from the start about him, but never questioned him. She had tried her best to keep him in her team so that the other trainees won't notice and doubt him. But due to the mandatory rotations, she had to leave his side. He realized now why she was always like that. Not to pull him down but to protect him.
"Han Jisung? Back to earth!" He heard the male's irritated and annoyed deep voice, who was the twin brother of his previous trainer. "Oh." Jisung saw all of the other trainees lined up together, but he was still sitting down, and zoning out. He quickly rushed and went to stand on his position.
"I seriously need a raise." Felix mumbled. "Well, now we will be having a duet." He announced. "Everyone, line up!" He said and they all positioned them height wise. "For today it's girls vs boys." They looked at him with wide eyes. "What?" He questioned.
"Nothing sir." They mumbled and looked at each other. "First fight, Jisung with Yedam." Both the mentioned looked at him with questioning eyes. "I thought you said girl's vs boys?" Jisung questioned. "I did. But first we will be picking the strongest ones for the fuel." He dragged the chair that was with his desk towards the combat arena and sat down on it with his register in his hands. He looked up at the two boys and grinned slightly.
"Let's start."
