3rd Person's POV:
"You are not telling me everything you know, Minho. What is suddenly up with you?" Chan questioned when Minho came inside the room. He was doing his own work when he was suddenly called by him in the meeting room. Minho sighed. "I had a talk with Mr. Park." He told him. "He has told me that this girl, Jeon Hana is someone whom he or what he exactly said, 'we' can use in the future for ourselves." Chan furrowed his eyebrows.
"How?" Changbin asked. "She is the daughter of one of his enemies and she was found here, so he had brainwashed her. She is talented and has the perfect qualities of someone whom he can use for future experiments and projects, and he wants me to gain her trust so that she can willingly agree to him." The room fell into a deep silence.
"And you agreed?" Felix scowled. "She is still a student! And forget that, she is from another district and has been brainwashed! She doesn't remember anyone but there might be people who remember her and are searching for her! We can't let that old hag to get a hold of us or an innocent being for his own selfishness!" He said and Minho looked at him.
"That is why, I'm trying to gain her trust. Not for her to be used by this stupid project that he wants, but to protect her from that. The students don't know the real face of Mr. Park and if they have to choose, they will for sure choose the leader above the staff and trainers. They don't know anything that goes on inside the system and they will think that we are the wrong here! If we gain the trust of students, who are at a risk of being experimented or executed, then we can save them and who knows maybe we can also save the divergents and have a good deal with them?"
They thought and nodded, agreeing to him. He was not wrong at all. The students and the trainees have no idea about the dark side of the district. If a student is executed, they won't even know about that and if anyone questions, then they are told that they were sent away from there because they were divergents or are dropped by the wing. Students and the civilians don't know that the divergents are killed, they only know that they are sent to another island where people like them live and they have no problems with that, because this is called 'classification'. This makes most of the divergent confessing their true identities as well sometimes.
But in reality, they are classified and killed because they are a 'threat' to the system. Once Jisung was walking down one of the hallways and heard some officials talking about this and he got to know about everything and feared for his life. That was the reason why he started to limit showing his skills without being too suspicious.
"I also think this is the best thing we could do right now." Chan mumbled and they agreed to him. "You keep on gaining her trust and we will keep on searching for her. Also, today Jackson has requested us for a meeting, call Hyunjin as well." He ordered them and they nodded.
Hyunjin walked towards his room and entered it. He walked near his bed and was about to lay down when he saw the sticky note that said, "Meeting at 3." He smiled knowing from whom it was and looked at the clock, which showed 2:04. He got up and went to shower.
At 2:40, he went to Iseul's room and knocked on it. He heard some shuffling and then a voice. "Who's there?" It was Iseul and Hyunjin said his name. The door opened and he saw Iseul standing there. She pulled him inside the room and closed the door. Hyunjin saw Chanmi, a North winger, and another trainer sitting on the couch. There were some papers scattered and it seems like as if they were working.
"Hi." He waved at them, already guessing that they are also like them. "What bring you here?" Iseul questioned and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Didn't you inform me that there is a meeting at 3?" He asked confused. "Is there?" She turned and asked Chanmi, who shrugged. "I didn't called for any meeting." She told him confused and he frowned, but suddenly realized something. "Oh shit." He mumbled and started to leave the room.
"Wait! Hyunjin!" Iseul stopped him and gripped his wrist. "What happened?" She asked and Hyunjin looked panic suddenly. "Let me go before I get caught. Either come to my room at 7pm or I'll come to yours at 9. We need to talk, and I promise I will tell you everything." He assured her and rushed outside, wishing that no one will see the security cams and saw that he went to visit her first before coming there as that will blow his cover.
He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that he reached the designated hallway at sharp 3 and saw Felix stepping out of the room. Felix noticed his presence, "oh, you're here? Come let me put your fingerprints on the door here." He gestured to the door and Hyunjin nodded. Felix did so and after completing the procedure, they both walked inside. "You know why the meeting is organized suddenly?" Felix asked when they were climbing down the stairs. "No." Hyunjin said when they reached the bottom and walked straight to the meeting room in the front.
"Because the teams that attacked on us, were from District 7."
