3rd Person's POV:
Chan stepped out of the bathroom, while rubbing his hair with the towel. He looked on his bed and saw Byeol sleeping peacefully on it. He sighed at the sight and approached the bed. He slowly sat down beside her and gently pecked her cheek. He slowly ran his fingers through her hair, in an attempt to soothe her.
"Will she accept me if I tell her that I am a traitor of the district? Will she continue to love me? Will she choose me? What if she feels betrayed? What if she decides to leave me? What if she hates me?" He thought while looking down at her. He sighed once more and was about to get up when she caught his hands and opened her eyes. She smiled softly at him and nudged him to lay down.
Chan layed beside her and Byeol put her head on his arm, using it as a pillow and cuddling with her. "What are you thinking about?" She asked him. "Nothing." "But you sighed many times. Is something disturbing you?" She asked again and Chan shook his head. "Nothing important. I was just thinking about our future." He replied and Byeol looked at him.
"Our future is 'nothing important?" She raised an eyebrow at him. "I know you got what I was trying to say." She chuckled and layed her head back down. They both layed in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, until it was broken by Byeol.
"W-What do you think about Mr. Park?" She asked him and Chan raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? What?" He questioned and Byeol sat up. Chan followed her action and saw a nervous expression on his face. "I-I mean. What do you think of him as a leader?" She again questioned and Chan tilted his head. "What do you think?" He asked and Byeol looked at him.
"Promise you won't judge me, but I think I need to let it all out as it is consuming me from inside." She said and Chan tilted his head. "What, sweetheart? What is that you wanna tell me?" "He is planning something cruel." She confessed and Chan held her hands. "Can you explain?"
Byeol gulped before starting. "I overheard someone's conversation with Mr. Park. Remember when the leader of District 3 visited here three months ago? They both were walking and discussing things in the hallway, and I heard them. They were talking about how they brainwashed someone from District 7 and are planning to use them in the future. I also heard them talking about a trainer in our wing, who is useful to him and is his biggest supporter and follower, who will take over him and he will control the district through them. I didn't get the name though, as he didn't mention that."
"That's it they talked about?" Chan questioned, while thinking. "There is more." She confessed. "He also said how he has tortured the divergents and used them for research works and experiments. I thought they were only killed or executed. But for experiments and torturing? That's sick." She held her head in her hands.
"He also said something that he has kidnapped someone's daughter and will be blackmailing her parents soon. They said that in the disguise of District 4, they are going to attack on the Avalloon island to eliminate the divergents as they have the greatest number of divergents. But won't the normal civilians be harmed in that too?" She told him and Chan was in deep thought. "Avalloon island?" Chan murmured. "Yes."
"I was just passing by and heard their conversation. Since then, I can't stop but think about that." She sighed deeply. "I'm sorry to say this, and I know how much you guys adore him, but I can't continue like this. He is evil and I just can't do this anymore. He is harming others for his own good." She confessed Chan looked at her with shiny eyes. "Do you want to join the traitors?"
Byeol looked back at him and was confused by his question. "Traitors?" She asked and Chan nodded. "The ones who are against the system and planning on to dethrone him." Byeol gulped and looked away. "Why would you suggest something like this? Wouldn't be that illegal? Aren't you the head trainer?" Chan sighed and kissed on her knuckles.
"I am the head trainer. Yes, it would be illegal. But I am asking you about that because I am one of them." Byeol's eyes widened, and she looked at him, to see any signs that he was lying. "There is no way......" She trailed of. "There is. And I am not only one of them, but I am their leader as well." Byeol was in disbelief. "And you never told me?" She questioned him.
Chan pulled her closer. "I was afraid, okay? I was afraid to lose you. I was afraid of your reaction. I thought you adored him a lot that is why I didn't tell you about this earlier." He confessed and Byeol hugged him. "I did adore him a lot. But when I got to see his real side, I can't continue that anymore. He is toxic and evil." She hugged him and he hugged her back.
"So, do you want to?" He asked. "I do, but I don't think I am ready for it." She pulled from the hug and Chan looked at her anticipating. "I can join but I don't think I am completely ready to go deep inside in these types of things. I can help you and we both can be together and discuss about things, but I think I want to rethink about this before involving myself into much deeper things." Chan nodded.
"I will tell you about things. I promise. And you promise that if you get your hands on any sort of information, inform me. That might be useful for us against him." Byeol nodded. Both of them hugged again and layed back on the bed, cuddling with each other.
"I promise too."
