Armana Frauleins

I woke at the sudden manly smell around me. I opened my eyes to see a big, broad hard object. Not object, a layer of skin.

Wha the fuck?

Why is Lorenzo beside me...and why are we sleeping together.Did something happened last night? He was wearing his clothes and I was wearing mine too. I clearly remember I was dozing off at the study table of Charles. Did I fall asleep there and Lorenzo carried me here? No way...how is that even possible? Him carrying someone like me? Haha.

I was sleeping on his arms and was admiring his beautiful face even when he is sleeping. That is the thing about fictional men. They produce beauty even when they are asleep. In my world, people would've had a bad morning breath by now. Good thing, I am dead.

His eye lash, soft hair, fair skin... icy blue eyes...

ICY BLUE EYES?! When the fuck did he wake up?

"Good morning." he gave a soft smile.

He is smiling too much lately. It is like the calm before storm.

"G-Good morning." I looked away.

"Let's sleep some more." He hugged me and closed his eyes again.

"Who are you?" I asked, shoving him off.

"Your husband." He said while still closing his eyes and hugging me.

I chuckled, "You know, you are acting like Nikolai-"

Before I could realise anything, I was pinned down the bed, on top of me was Lorenzo. What...?

"You dare to say that name again, in front of me, while we are in a bed together." He said while pinning my hands on the bed sheet.

I gulped, afraid of what just happened. He leaned towards me and I blushed. What is he doing?

"Y-Your Majesty ?" I tried to distract him but he wasn't listening.

His eyes were on my lips. Don't tell me...is he going to kiss me? I gulped, wet my lips with my saliva, closed my eyes.

"You smell nice, even in the morning." He said, out of blue.

I opened my eyes, he was beside me. This is so embarrassing! I thought he was going to kiss me! I even closed my eyes. Fuck, this is so embarrassing.

I stared at him in disbelief.

"You look like someone stole your candy." He chuckled.

I swear, it was the most pure smile ever. "You know what" I looked away. " I have works to do." I tried to get up. I took a quickly glance at him and he looked like a puppy who had been abandoned. What happened to him today?

"Let's have breakfast together." Lorenzo offered.

"I can't. I already promised Nikolai that I would have breakfast with him today." I replied.

His jaw clenched. He looked mad and the colour of his eyes darkened. His mood completely changed.

Did I say something wrong again?

"Since when do you guys call eachother by first names?" He asked.

"It just happened." I shrugged.

"It never happens with me?" I asked. " I call you Armana, sometimes Mellisa but you never called me by my name." He complained.

"I am a mannered person." I smiled.

"Where does your manner go when you are with Nikolai?" He asked, narrowing his eyes.

What happened to him? Why is he being so arrogant early in the morning?

"You are the king and he is the Duke. Who should I respect more?" I asked the obvious.

"I am your husband too, not only the King. You call me by my name too." He demanded.

"I will. Happy?" I chuckled. "You are like a stubborn kid sometimes."

"I am going with you." He said.

I looked at him in confusion at first then nodded.

_

"It is lovely to see both the Emperor and Empress together." Nikolai folded his arms. "I thought I would only see the Empress today."

I sat down on the chair, beside me was Lorenzo and in front of me was Nikolai. We were at the garden, enjoying our little breakfast

"Today is mushroom soup and crusted bread." He said, pushing a bowl and a basket full of breads.

"I dreamt of mushroom yesterday!" I exclaimed.

"I know." Lorenzo replied., earning a glance from Nikolai.

This is so embarrassing! Why is he saying that?

Nikolai changed the topic immediately, "Armana, I heard you wrote a letter to the Emperor of the West."

"Y-"

"You did?" Lorenzo raised his brow.

"Yeah, I did. Since, we need to discuss about the coal importation and exportation." explained. " was discussing this with Charles yesterday, and His Majesty was also there with me." I smiled.

Did I do a bad thing not informing Lorenzo? I mean, he saw me and Charles discussing so when he didn't say anything and left, I assumed he permitted. But seeing how his face looks so dull, I guess, I should've officially informed him.

What was I doing anyways? Do I really think a mare girl like me who only wanted to survive is the Empress now? In the original novel, Armana did not have to do anything because Lorenzo feared that it will be a danger to his Empire, so he removed all the responsibilities of Armana and made her look like an "so called Empress." Of course, at that time, Fiona wanted to help a little bit but Charles and other noble refused that such important duties cannot be given to someone who isn't well educated. Well, that was the plot to show Lorenzo's romantic side. When they were discussing about it, Lorenzo cut one of his noble man in order to prove that "No body can talk behind Fiona's back."

When I was alive and searched the opinions of many readers, most of the readers commented that Lorenzo did the right thing. "Yeah, he did the right thing because he loves Fiona.", "Aaaah! I wish I could get a man like that!", "LMAO, Well served for the noble man.", "Fiona Supremacy." "Lorenzo Supremacy" " really wish Lorenzo and Fiona could end up together." Although, I only agreed with the last comment, because after getting Fiona Barlee, Nikolai practically stopped expressing. I mean, at least I felt that because while everyone talked about Fiona Barlee, Nikolai stayed silent, admiring the scenery, Many said that he was observing the noble and was thinking to take action but Lorenzo took it instant. Although, I agree with the noble man if compared to reality. The duty of an Empress is really tough and important, since Fiona wasn't born from a well educated family, she didn't deserve it.

"You did the right thing, my Queen." Lorenzo held my hand. His icy blue eyes made me calm and responsible.

Did he just save me from embarrassment? I'm glad.

I smiled and nodded.
