They were flying near some fog.

Then a humming noise sounded from it, causing the dragons to go into the fog. Their eyes became slits.

"Uhh...Toothless what is it bud?" Hiccup asked his dragon.

Then a dormant volcano came into view. Dragons were going in with their kill.

Hiccup lowered himself so he wasn't seen as easily. The others did the same.

They entered the volcano. The dragons dropped their kills in a large pit.

Their dragons landed hidden from view.

"That's strange their not eating any of it." Astrid said.

A gronkle dropped a small fish into the pit.

Then a large dragon head jumped out and ate the gronkle whole.

Sparrow, Astrid, and Hiccup gasped.

"That's what's causing the raids." Sparrow said.

"We have to do something about it." Hiccup said. "You two draw it out. Me and Toothless will fight it."

The girls nodded. Then blasted fire into the pit. The big dragon roared. Its head appeared out of the mist.

Seeing the humans on the dragons back. It tried to eat them.

They flew out a hole. The red death followed. Breaking the mountain.

The girls dragons blasted the red death more.

The red death started to suck in air, snagging Sparrow and Nuri.

Then toothless blasted the red death.

Sparrow fell off Nuri. Luckily Toothless was there to catch her.

Toothless looked down to show his signature gummy smile. She smiled in return.

"Did you get her?" Hiccup looked down to see Sparrow hanging in there. "Ok that answers that."

Astrid and Stormfly had landed now. Toothless flipped over Sparrow, and set her next to Astrid.

"Ok, let's see how queen here likes to fly." Toothless roared in the red death's face.

The queen sucked in a breath, ready to engulf the duo in flames.

As the red hot fire bursted out of her mouth Toothless and Hiccup served to miss the fire.

Toothless flew higher, then dove firing a blast at the red death's wing. The queen fell on her side. Then she raised her wings.

"You think that did it?" Hiccup looked behind him the red death flying after them. "Yep! Alright, to the clouds, bud!" Toothless then flew straight up into the dark storm clouds. The queen flying up as well.

When the queen was in the clouds, no one was there. She roared in fury.

Toothless and Hiccup waited, speeding around her. Then blasted her with all their remaining shots. Except for one.

The queen roared in fury again, and her flames traveled around her like a tornado. Toothless and Hiccup swerved to miss the flames, but the tail caught fire.

"Ok, times up!" Hiccup said looking at the burning tail.

They flew infront of the red death, she snapped at them.

And missed.

Toothless flew straight down. The queen followed in her rage.

As the ground got closer, the red death could hear her triumph over the small inferior creatures. She took in a breath, ready to fire them into oblivion.

Then she heard: "NOW!" Come from the tiny human.

A purple bast traveled into her green gas. She could feel the explosion start and the red death tried to swallow it.

But it was too late, her insides were exploding. She roared in terror, as she couldn't stop from hitting the ground.

Then she exploded.

"HICCUP!" Astrid called.

"HICCUP! WHERE ARE YOU!" Sparrow also called."TOOTHLESS!" She saw a big black lump on the ground.

The girls ran over to Toothless.

"Where's Hiccup?" Astrid asked.

Toothless opened up his wings to reveal Hiccup. His lower left leg, gone.

"Astrid...look." Sparrow took Hiccup from Toothless's wing. "His leg. It's gone and its bleeding a lot. Do you have a large cloth in yor saddle bag?"

"Yes"

"Okay. Grab my bag full of medicine too."

Astrid grabbed her bag and her small bit of yak hide.

"Here" she handed Sparrow her bag and yak hide.

Sparrow wrapped the hide around his leg. Then carefully mashed up herbs to help heal the leg.

Dragons landed near them.

"Oh. Umm. Hi." Astrid looked around at the dragons.

A stormcutter walked to them. Seeing the human girl wrap hide onto the human boys leg. The stormcutter cooed.

Toothless watched as Sparrow picked up Hiccup and walk over to Nuri.

The stormcutter seemed to ask them to follow him.

"Is it just me Sparrow, or is this dragon asking us to follow him"

"Maybe...Yes he is. Come on we're following him."

The stormcutter gently picked up Toothless and headed north.
