Brooke

I sat in my directors chair frustrated as fuck.

I made Charlotte and Mateo redo the scene one too many times even though I got sick of it.

I don't know why I did it to be honest.

They had gotten the perfect take the first time but I guess I did this out of frustration. Just seeing Charlotte there with Mateo just made me...I don't know but I don't like this feeling at all.

I haven't even known this girl for a full month, yet she was someone that never seemed to leave my mind.

I then snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Charlotte's voice enter in with someone I've never seen on set before.

I turned more directly towards them so I could see who she was, but I tried not to make it obvious.

She was about average height, had long dark brunette hair, along with blue or green colored eyes. I couldn't really tell from where I was sitting but I could smell trouble.

They were laughing a lot I tell you, and Charlotte seemed so intrigued by this girl but who was she? If anyone was going to find out, it would be me. I tapped my assistant, Ashley on her shoulder to catch her attention.

"Who is that young lady with Charlotte?" I questioned her while still keeping my eyes on Charlotte and her little friend.

Charlotte was now introducing her to the cast and this girl was getting along with everyone perfectly. Some may say I was jealous, but I wasn't jealous, I was just interested.

No, just curious.

"I'm not sure who she is but her name is Lena, I have no last name, but it seems that Evan's invited her in since she's on the security list." Ashley stated to me, making me turn away from looking at Charlotte.

I shift in my chair at the sight of those two.
They seem really friendly with each other. Friends maybe?

I watch them and they continue talking then as it seems Lena says something really funny — Charlotte laughs then slowly drags her hand down Lena's arm. Shock fills me because I always thought Charlotte was straight if anything. She's had boyfriends but never a girlfriend — maybe that was all fake?

Right?

I shift in my chair again now biting my lip frustratingly. Damn this chair is really uncomfortable.

Maybe I just need something to snack on.

I get up from my chair and head to the snack table hoping to distract myself from Charlotte and that frustrating situation.

I scan over the table and there's a box of donuts, chips, crackers, nuts, and fruits. I need to talk to the caterers because this food is cheap if anything, it looks like they went to the nearest grocery store they could find and picked up what they saw.

I guess I'll take some fruit.

I walk over to the opposite end of the table where the plates are placed.

Just as I'm about to grab a plate I feel a hand fall on top of mine and I look up to see it's Charlotte.

She always seems to make an unexpected appearance everywhere I go.

We hold like that for a few seconds staring straight at each other until she flashes me a quick smile then starts laughing a bit. I feel myself trying to not force out a slight smile at the sight of her laughter. I thankfully restrained enough so nothing showed up but this whole thing was very confusing to me.

"What brings you here trying to steal my plate miss Evans?" I say practically snatching the plate from under her hand. "You seem to be having a lot of fun with Lena over there. I didn't think you'd be the one to leave your guest unattended." I let out a quick hum at the end.
