Charlotte
"Brooke there's no way I'm staying here, that's very nice of you to offer but I can't." I shake my head.
Although staying with Brooke gets me a little excited in the head, I just can't stay here with her.
"Then where else would you stay?" She asks, squinting her eyes.
"Um, I don't don't know. I'd probably go hitchhiking or something.." I say grabbing my glass and taking a sip.
"Charlotte you can't argue with me now, you're staying here and that's final." Brooke demands.
"But we don't leave New York for another three days." I argue back.
"I know Charlotte, and you are staying here for the remainder of those days." She says.
So now I'm going to be staying here, with Brooke for three days? If you would've told me that a couple days ago I probably would've rolled my eyes at you, but now that's actually happening, I kind of feel excited though.
I just feel bad — I feel like a burden staying here for so long, who knows what she could've been doing if I wasn't staying here.
"Are you sure you're okay with me staying here?" I ask reluctantly.
"Yes Charlotte." She reassures me.
"Now let me show you where we will be sleeping." She says getting up from her stool and holding out her hand to me.
"Wait what?" I ask.
"We?"
"Yes, we Charlotte. I only have one bedroom here, so that means only one bed. Unless you want to sleep on the couch which I'm warning you about. It's comfy to lounge on, but not to sleep on." She says.
"Fine." I say giving in, getting up from my seat as I place my hand in Brooke's.
Once I place my hand in Brooke's she starts walking towards the stairs which are only a few steps away from the kitchen.
The railing is made of glass and the steps are wooden, the same exact wood that is on the floors.
As we reach the top of the stairs we walk across the railing to one of the two doors that are upstairs.
Once we reach the first door Brooke turns to me, "Just a little rule, I don't have any, but just don't go through my stuff without asking, it's happened before. So if you need anything, don't be afraid to ask, okay?" She asks, trying to lock eye contact with me.
"Understood." I say back with a smile.
Just as I say the words, Brooke then opens the door to her bedroom which is gigantic.
Her bed is set right in the middle, with two nightstands on each side of course. And as I walk further into the bedroom, to my left I see a small balcony facing out to the city along with big wide windows. Then on the other side there were two extra doors, which I'm guessing is her closet and her bathroom.
"Anyways, I'm gonna go out, I have to.." Brooke says.
"I have to go meet someone, make yourself at home but not too much. If you need to borrow any clothes just text me since I'm assuming you didn't bring your luggage with you. Anyways, I'll see you when I come back!" Brooke breathes out as she starts to exit the room.
"Wait, so you're gonna leave me just like that?" I laugh out in shock.
How could she just leave me alone like this when she quite literally insisted I stayed here?
"It's just someone I'm going to hangout with for work Charlotte. I'll be back later tonight." She says bluntly walking out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
