"I'm packing up right now Lena, I'll tell you when I get back." I say sitting by my suitcase with Lena on the phone.

"I want to hear everything now! I can't wait hours and hours for you to come home and then you fall asleep. It happens every time." She says irritated.

"Whatever, be a baby about it." I sigh.

"I am not being a baby about it! You know if something ever happened to me like that, wouldn't you want to know..?" She asks, trying to convince me to tell her about my weekend with Brooke.

"Of course I'd want to know!"

"But..I wouldn't have to beg for you to tell me because you'd rather tell me then wait another second. It's not the end of the world, I promise." I joke.

"Ugh, whatever, I'll wait for you then. Once you come back we're hanging out the day after! Unless you aren't available.." Lena trails off.

"I forgot about shooting." I sigh, rolling my eyes.

"Well, I'll call or text you when I'm home so we can hangout." I say.

"I'll see you later or whatever I guess. Please be safe and just don't get into any trouble with, you know who." Leans smirks.

"You're disgusting." I laugh.

I then playfully send her a wink,  "I sureee won't." I reassure her.

"Ew, don't even go there." She laughs, "Ok, I'll leave you alone now bye!" She says waving to the camera.

"Bye Lena." I say before hanging up the phone.

I then put down my phone to the side and looked over my suitcase, making sure everything was set.

These past few days are something I never truly thought that would happen. Not in a million years did I think that I would have this type of relationship with Brooke.

I barely knew her when we first met — I actually think she hated me — and it's crazy to even think we've gotten this close in such a small amount of time.

There's still so much I don't know about her though.

Just about where her name came from and that's about it. Oh, and also her father, which came as a surprise. But that's about it.

I just hope that being back in California does not affect whatever we have going on. Even though I know it will for sure. Being in New York was just better, not because I wasn't recognized, which I definitely was, it was because it wasn't work filled.

Most of the time at least.

That's what made everything easier.

I hear the bedroom door opening and look up to see Brooke at the door, "Are you almost ready sweetheart?" She asks heading towards me.

"Yeah, I'm done actually. Why?" I ask, looking at her.

"Oh well I wanted to treat you to lunch. I know we can't go out or anything but I ordered something for us." She tells me.

"Come down stairs when you're ready so we can eat, I'll wait for you." She adds.

"Okay, thank you!" I smiled at her.

She nods before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.

Once I heard the faint click of the door closing, I let out a deep breath that I was holding in. I don't know why I couldn't breathe but Brooke makes me nervous at times, especially when she does something sweet like that. Buying me lunch. It makes me feel giddy just at the thought.
