Brooke

"Did I work you up that much today during filming?" I ask Charlotte as sit down in the chair that the blonde lady just left.

Okay, yes I admit I was watching her and that blonde but it wasn't like it was intentional. I just happened to see the blond walk past me. I was interested in her but it seemed that she was interested in someone else.

Charlotte Evans.

I didn't watch them but I observed from afar on how Charlotte would play the whole thing out. After all, I wanted to see if Charlotte was capable of keeping up with that girls flirting. Most of the times, the blond ones were the most fierce, which is why I initially wanted to go for her, but this would be more entertaining.

I then was shocked by how well Charlotte was doing. Maybe it was those acting skills coming in hand but they seemed to be going really well, until the blond touched Charlottes thigh. Then I saw Charlotte freeze not too long after, then the girl suddenly left in a rush.

I was never or never have been a nosy person but that only intrigued me more.

Did something happened? Did the girl say something she didn't like or was I just trying to make excuses for the girl leaving. I can't imagine the Charlotte Evans ever being rejected much less being stood up. She was a true beauty and to bail on her so easily was truly a mistake.

"Um I don't know, did you work me up during filming? I think making your actresses redo scenes over and over again is pretty much torture." She then mouths a quick thank you to the bartender as he hands her another drink.

"No, I don't think so. Unless you sucked at doing the scene I think that's the only reason your director would do such a thing." I boasted as I took a sip of my drink.

She then rolled her eyes at my reply.

"I don't think it's wise to be rolling your eyes at your director sweetheart. I advise you fix your attitude." I instructed her.

The faintest of pink then colored her cheek's and she turned her face away for a moment before turning back with her regular color plastering her face.

Although I said I wasn't nosy, I have this urge to ask about what happened with the blonde. Although it was none of my business she had seemed to strike a nerve in Charlotte and I just wanted to see if everything was fine.

"So what about that girl that came up just now. Did she ditch you for someone else?" I ask while taking a sip of my drink.

"No, she just had to go help a friend." She sighed while staring into the distance.

"Do you think she ran away from me or something?" She asks while turning to me and making direct eye contact with me.

"Possibly." I said shrugging my shoulders while letting out a small laugh.

"So you think I can't keep a woman or something?" She asks me like it's a challenge and she's gladly accepting it.

"Maybe, but at least I haven't run away yet so you better keep me entertained." I tease.

Her eyes then widened at my saying while she took a quick breath before continuing.

"Oh god and I thought I was full of myself." She scoffs.

I let out a small laugh, afraid that she might get too comfortable. Although we seemed to be having a good conversation, I was again afraid of the fact of her stepping over that boundary I had set up.

And she had seemed to be slowly sneaking her way past it and I wasn't going to let her pass, ever.

Silence then dies over the bar but it doesn't last for too long before it starts raining outside. The sound of the soft showers fills the silence that came between me and Charlotte before I decided to speak up again.
