"One more time please! And with more emotion please! And Olivia stop blinking so damn much, you look like you've caught an eye disease, can we please start from the top?" Brooke shouts at the cast.
As I said earlier, she hasn't spoken to me all day and my frustration is starting to build up little by little. Luckily for me, as soon as we were able to get this scene done, I would go shopping.
I love shopping even if it wasn't for me.
Back to the whole Brooke thing. I could tell her critique was towards me. She points it out to the whole cast yet we all know who she's talking to. And it's so much more embarrassing than when she singles you out.
"Take 7, scene 16, act 1, and action!" One of the staff yells out as the click of the movie slate echoes around the set.
As I start off the scene with my lines I take every critique I've received today and fix them within this one take. I truly feel that I've done better than the rest of the takes that we've done today because I just know it.
I then quickly close out the scene, perfectly executing my lines with the perfect amount of emotional expression that it needs. As I finish my last line and the set goes quiet all eyes seem to dart back to Brooke waiting for her approval.
We all stand in our places, like ice statues waiting to be unfrozen, we all watch Brooke monitor the scene again.
I quickly dart my eyes over to Olivia who stands there nervously watching for any sign of approval. "You think we might have to re-shoot it?" I whisper to Olivia.
"God, I hope not. You did amazing, I'm pretty sure I screwed up if anything. Let's just hope we get to go home or get a break." Olivia responded back in a whisper.
I nod back at her agreeing with what she said.
From the corner of my eye I then see Brooke slowly rise from her chair with a very serious look planted on her face, showing no emotion.
There's then a pause of silence within the studio as we wait for the magic phrase to leave her mouth.
She lets out a long deep breath and she puts her hands deep into her pockets.
She then opens up her mouth and speaks out, "You may all go home." The staff including some of the cast starts clapping and life once again fills up the studio as people start to scatter around to leave and go home.
Olivia quickly turns to me and breathes out a sigh of relief, "Oh my goodness, I honestly thought we would never leave! I'll be on my way now, but I'll see you on Friday! See ya!" She squeals as she exits the set.
I wave a quick bye to Olivia as she continues to speed walk out of the set until I see her disappear into somewhere other than here.
I quickly glance around seeing if Brooke is still around but she isn't, of course.
I roll my eyes at myself for even thinking of her.
How could I allow her into my head after what she did today? She practically tortured us, but me even more than anyone. The indirect criticism was even more frustrating than anything. God, she needs to grow up.
To speed up the process of me being able to go home faster, I went to my dressing room which is on set. My RV was a longer walk from where I was and I didn't feel like walking the necessary distance to it.
So I quickly walked to my dressing room and quickly changed out of my wardrobe into more casual clothing.
So I quickly changed into a black pleated skirt, along with a white oversized dress shirt, a black cap, and a pair of sunglasses.
