Shahmeer's POV
"YOU PULLED OUT HER CHAIR?!" Farjaad was screaming at me, yet again.
"I don't know why, okay. I was just being kind."
"Shahmeer, your name and kind don't fit in one sentence." He was the only person in the company who called me by my name since he was my friend, according to him. To me, he was just a pain.
"Actually, I think you owe me an explanation Farjaad."
"How?" he asks with confusion spread on his face.
"Why were you following me AND watching me?" I ask in an annoyed tone.
"I wasn't following or watching you. I was just, you know...observing."
"Yeah sure." I was too focused on her I didn't bother looking around. At least he didn't see when she fell into my arms and how long I stared at her. Otherwise this man would be squealing his head off.
"Now get out of my office, I have to go."
"But it's a Tuesday. You usually work late on Mondays and Tuesdays. We also have a meeting."
"Today is an exception. And postpone the meeting for tomorrow."
"What kind of exception is it? And I can't postpone the meeting."
"If you can arrange a meeting, then I'm sure you can postpone it. And if it makes you at peace, I need to help move out Mahnoor's stuff into my house."
WHAT?! YOU'RE HELPING HER MOVE OUT HER STUFF WHEN YOU HAVE SO MANY SERVANTS."
"Yes, I am. Got a problem? Well I'm not going to waste my time arguing. See you tomorrow Farjaad." I wanted to see her again. I don't know why. I wasn't letting Farjaad's conversation make me late.
"WAIT CAN I COME?" He spoke from behind. I turned on my heel.
"Why?"
"I wanna meet my sister-in-law. I won't do anything stupid."
"I'm not your brother and she's not going to be your 'sister-in-law' for long." It's the truth. It was only for a small amount of time and then she'd be gone.
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!" He started begging with puppy eyes.
"Grab my car keys."
"YAYYYYYYY!" He was a grown man but acted like a 5 year-old and sadly I had to put up with it.
______
"This is Ma'am's room." I think she was Mahnoor's personal servant since she knew a lot about her.
"You may leave." Farjaad was downstairs parking the car. He takes his sweet time doing so, so I got out the car before I could waste anymore time.
I knocked on the door.
"GO AWAY BABA, I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE." You could hear her tears through how she spoke and how mad she was at her dad.
"Mahnoor, it's me. Now open up."
"JUST GO." She was clearly in pain. I didn't know she would be affected this bad by it. What made it worse was that it was my fault.
"Mahnoor, if you don't open the door right now, I'll call your 'Baba'." I knew that would make her open the door.
*the door clicked open*
I saw her face. Hurt. Her eyes were blood-shot and tears fell down her face.
