Shahmeer's POV
I was meeting with my 'wife to be', today. I have better things to do than meet a woman who I don't give a damn about, but Mr Zubair suggested we 'get to know each other.' Why should I get to know about someone I don't care?
We were meeting at a chai shop at 12pm near my office. I chose the location so it doesn't take too long for me to get back to my office and won't interrupt my schedule.
I was there at 12pm exact, but she wasn't. I waited for 10 minutes just in case she was stuck in traffic, but no. At 12.10, I figured there was no point. I got up and rang Zubair Ali. I was not going to deal with someone who isn't punctual. I'm not going to waste my time waiting for someone just because they aren't organised.
I made my way to the exit where the cool breeze hit my face. It was a pleasant day. The sun was out and it was warm, but there was a cool breeze flowing. Perfect weather.
"Hello?"
"Yes." I quickly snapped out of my thoughts.
"Sir, I called you regarding your daughter."
"You two met? So quick?" He asked.
"No, she decided not to show-"
Suddenly, a tiny figure slammed into my chest but I caught it before it fell. I looked down to see a girl in her late 20s, at most. She was...stunning. So fucking stunning. She had her eyes closed tight from fear but I couldn't help notice her lashes that were touching her soft cheeks. Her perfectly structured nose and her plump lips. Her long, luscious hair hung down, nearly touching the floor. I looked back to her face where I saw two mesmerising eyes staring straight at me. Fuck, were they gorgeous. The sun from outside was shining at her eyes making her squint a little but they looked like stars. The shine and glimmer in them almost made me smile, but I held it back with great difficulty. She unexpectedly jolted out of my arms.
"Are you blind or something?!" She said to me in an annoyed tone.
Such a sweet face but such a bitter tongue.
"No. You walked...actually no. You ran into me and I caught you. Shouldn't you be thanking me?"
"Hm, no I'm good, thanks for the offer though." she replied.
"OH MY GOD I'M GETTING LATE. MY DAD IS GOING TO KILL ME IF I DON'T SEE HIM."
"Who are you meeting?" I ask. I wasn't jealous. Or was I?
"None of your concern." She says unbothered.
"Actually, it is." I say.
"How so?" She looks at me, confused.
"You could've fell but I caught you and perhaps saved you from losing a limb, or two."
"Well, if it is your concern I'm meeting with a ruthless man called Shahmeer Jafri who's probably what? 80 years old?"
Me. Which meant the woman in front of me was Mahnoor Ali. My future wife.
"Well he isn't 80." I say defensively.
"Yeah, as if you knew."
"What if I say I do know him?"
"You know that merciless man?!"
"Yes." I say proudly however she doesn't seemed so pleased about meeting me.
"How? How do you know him?"
"Because you're talking to him right now."
"You-"
"Yes, I'm Shahmeer Jafri. And I'm no 'merciless' or 'ruthless' man. I just give people what they deserve."
