Shahmeer's POV:

It was 6:45. And here I was, sitting on the table alone with servants stood around.

"Where is she? It's 6.45 on the dot. She should be here by now." I don't know why I was wasting my time waiting when I could have already started my meal.

"Meeroo Ji, Ma'am is in the shower."

"Did you tell her dinner is served at 6.45?"

"Yes, I did. I'm sure she's coming."

"She needs to be disciplined. It's 6.45 and she's not here yet. Kiran, go check and see where she is."

"No need. I'm already here." She walks in wearing a mustard coloured shalwar kameez. Her hair is still wet and her face is bare. I'd never seen her without makeup. I can see her rosy cheeks and her naturally tinted plump lips. Her long lashes lightly brushing her cheeks as she blinked. She looks even more beautiful.

No Shahmeer, she's just a girl. Snap out of it.

I snap out of my thoughts as she speaks. "Quit staring, will you?

I look at my watch. "You're two minutes and 17 seconds late."

"Actually you spent probably half that time staring at me. And anyways, it's only two minutes - you're acting as if you have an army waiting for you." She was right. I did in fact probably spend half that time admiring her.

"What if I do have an army waiting?"

She sits down. "I wouldn't be surprised."

"Good." She's quite different, one could say. And I didn't hate it. I don't know why.

I turn to the servants, "You may go."

"Yes Sir." They all speak in sync and leave through the door behind me.

                                                                            ______

"Shahmeer?" I finally hear her voice after a time of silence.

"Yes, My Star." She goes quiet clearly still annoyed by her nickname but I couldn't help it. It suited her.

"The wedding is in three days and I haven't picked out any of my dresses for my wedding. Neither the dholki events, mendhi event, walima event or even my baraat dress."

"They're all ready." I say without looking up.

"WHAT?!?! What do you mean they're ready? You're telling me I don't even get to choose my OWN wedding dress. Leave the other events, but you didn't even let me choose my baraat dress, which if you've forgotten is the biggest event. You don't even know the measurements or what style I like. You could've at least asked me." She sounds frustrated. But it's only a wedding and it'll only last a year or even less. She'll get married again and can choose what she wants.

"I didn't see the need to ask you." I'm unfazed by the matter. It's only a dress, jewellery and shoes. Doesn't require so much stress. Yes if she's worried about measurements, I know them off by heart since the day she fell into my arms. I'd given the measurements and the dress would be perfectly fitted and ready. She stands up and walks to my chair.

"This is also MY wedding. I get to choose what I want to wear. I don't care if you've chosen them already."

I stand up towering her 5,9 structure. I was 6,4 which was good enough to intimidate people.

"I'm getting late. I'll see you later." I walk off.

"YOU CAN'T JUST WALK OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION." I hear her screams from behind.

The door shuts.
