Mahnoor's POV:

My eyes flutter open. I feel as though I'm on a train. Everything's black. Had I been kidnapped? I recall yesterday night but don't recall getting kidnapped. Maybe I was drugged? I slowly remove the cover from my face and peek through.

"Good morning, love." So I wasn't kidnapped. I wish I was instead of being with him. Wait, why are we in the car? I look down at myself and see a blazer, which seemed to be his, the same dress from last night and my bare feet. Had we been in the car. All night?

"Why are still in the car?"

"Because you fell asleep."

"So?"

"You would've woken up if I stopped the car."

"You were driving the car all night?!"

"Well, I thought that was clear after what I just said." Was he hearing himself?

"Why would you waste the petrol?"

"Petrol is made to be used."

"What's the time?"

"10:17."

"You've been driving for over what? 12 HOURS?!"

"According to the math, yes." Did he do that just so I wouldn't wake up? But why would he care if I woke up. He sacrificed his sleep...for mine. I still didn't get it. He's made of steel. Except his brain - it works exceptionally well. I'm a light sleeper so how come I didn't wake up?

"Oh."

"Anything wrong, love?"

"Nothing." He parks the car on the hard shoulder. He stops the car and turns to me.

"Really?"

"Mhm." Gosh, the way his eyes shone, in the bright light of the morning. Snap out of it, Noor. He's not a model.

But gosh, he could be one.

"I don't think so. Tell me."

"Why would you do that?"

"Do what?" Why was this man acting clueless after driving over 12 hours just so I didn't wake up.

"You know, drive the whole night. And aren't you tired? You gave up your sleep for mine."

"Oh darling, if only I could ever get tired of you." Why on Earth was my stomach somersaulting?

I avoid eye contact by looking straight ahead but I can feel his heavy gaze on me and I hate the effect it has on me.

"Can we go home now?"

"Can't look at me, love?" He seriosuly didn't understand the concept of changing the topic.

"No. It's just the light is going in my eyes." He starts the car and turns back from the roundabout so the light is on him and stops at the hard shoulder.

"Now look at me and talk."

"I'm not looking."

"Scared of the effect I have on you?"

"Why talk about an effect when there is none?"

"I'm not clueless, love."

"Here. Take your blazer." I look at him and the light from outside is hitting his face. He eyes are hazel but you can see the different colours clearly in the light. They look enchanting.

"I've already got a waistcoat. Keep hold of it for now." I know he won't take no as an answer so I keep hold of it.

It smelt heavenly. Eucalyptus? Sandalwood? Gardenias? There was so much going on.
