Poem 13 : Sweet Love

A new air has birthed its presence
Fresh as lemon breeze, that kisses cheeks,
Droplets of tears taken by winds
This is where it all begins.

Poisoned by the horrors of the past
Positioned in a situation that was not meant to last,
Lightning struck like a jump start for the heart
There you were from worlds apart.

I saw your eyes and I was hooked
How could I fall in love with one look?
So innocent and fair
I resisted to stare.

The moment when I knew love existed
Heavy breathing and nerves persisted
But the timing was not in line
My fear grew deep, like the spikes of a porcupine.

He was not interested in me
What a coward I must have been,
Filtering through assumptions
Just to avoid rejection.

But to my surprise you saw me in the light
We grew closer, never out of sight,
To see you was never a miss
Moments created before we shared our first kiss.

My love, my heart's like roasted meat, desire
Has turned it night and day within love's fire - Vis & Ramin
