Poem 33: Closet Poet

When you are trapped among walls
With all these rules instead of outlaws,
You realize that you put others in the way of your destiny.

That's why I sit still for many hours,
Attempting to create masterpieces during working hours,
My mind a stranger at the workplace.

Distracted by the sounds that surround me,
As bright screens blind me,
And tired eyes fight me.

Running away from depression,
I grew my obsession,
Writing poetry between lessons.

A craft that fuels my passion,
How thoughts can turn into action,
My stories build mansions.

A curiosity for the ear,
Collecting stories that are near,
My purpose begins here...
