I hate that I was stuck in the middle of it. As much Enzo had broken my sister's heart, believe me when I tell you, watching him break down because of his mistake was harder to watch.

He is a good man, I know it, Louise knows it, but she has been used and broken by one too many idiots who didn't value her. So I understand why she had to end things with Enzo even when they had told each other they were in love. Which is also why I understand she had to take a few weeks off work and travel to London for some fresh air.

But when she came back, there was no hiding behind curtains because her weight gain was more visible, especially around her belly.

"You need to talk to Louise" Jimmy said, cuddling me up in his bed.

I have been spending time here a lot lately and Jimmy and I have been in the front seat at the Enzo's show. It started off okay but I barely see him now, he is overworking himself. If he's not in the gym fighting with the equipment, he is in the office until odd hours. He has even taken a sudden interest in running the mafia which has been our wake-up call because he has become ruthless and a lot more aggressive than usual.

"And tell her what Jimmy?" I ask, knowing that talking to her about it will imply that I have chosen Enzo's side. Which I have not.

"He is losing it. It's been over a month baby, don't you think he has paid enough?" He asks.

I get why Jimmy has been pestering me about talking to Louise, he is just looking out for his brother and best friend. But what he doesn't know is that, she is pregnant and telling her about Enzo's situation will cloud her judgment. She loves taking care of other people even if her happiness is at stake. I don't want her to make a decision because she feels like she needs fix him and take care of him.

"I get that, but I don't think it's a good idea to tell her. She will call him when she is ready" I say making Jimmy sigh.

"I just don't know what to say to him anymore. Last night, he ripped off a man's tongue because he didn't tell him what he wanted to hear" he explains making me grimace at the thought.

"Well damn" I mummer.

"And that's not even the worst part, I can't even tell you how he is torturing the prisoners at the warehouse. He misses her and he is deflecting."

"She was good for him, but baby, he messed up. He needs to pay for his mistake" I reply.

"What's going on? You're usually all for match making and makeup, why are you not doing the same for your sister when you you it's the right thing to do?" He asks, sensing my reluctance.

"Nothing is going on." I quickly defend myself. Too quick apparently, because he pulls away from me with one raised eyebrow.

"Say it," he demands.

"Say what?"

"What you're hiding from me" he pushes.

"I'm not...."

"Kath" he warns, maintaining eye contact before I folded.

"Fine." I say rolling my eyes. "She's pregnant"

I stay still, waiting for Jimmy's reaction to the news but he stays quiet for what feels like minutes before he lets out a sigh.

"No shit" he whispers.

"I know" i mummer. "But you can't tell him"

"What? Are you serious" he asks pulling away.

"Dead serious."

"Why? Is it not his?" He asks, his curiosity getting the best of him.

"Of course it's his, but it's not our place to tell him." I reply.

"You really don't think I'd keep this away from him, do you?"

"This is why I didn't want to tell you" I say stepping out of the bed.

"Where are you going?" He questions watching me grab a robe and putting it on.

"I need to get some water" I say, walking out of the room.

About two minutes later, I am in the kitchen opening the fridge for my water bottle but decided not to when I saw the freshly made coffee.

Just one cup.

Nobody is here to see me anyway.

One cup then I'm out of here.

I take one large cup from the cabinet and start to put the coffee in it.

"Good morning Kath" Enzo's voice startles me but I maintain my calmness. When I turn to him, he has a knowing smirk on lips.

"Enzo. How are you?" I ask wanting the ground to crack open and eat me up.

"Good, how are you and the baby doing this morning?" He asks his everyday question with what I have learnt is a genuine smile, on his face.

"We are fine, the cravings are getting out of hand" I say smiling back at him.

"So I've seen" he chuckles briefly and there is a few seconds of silence after that.

"Don't tell Jimmy" I blurt out and he just pretends to close an invisible zip on my lips and locks it with the invisible keys.

"Thank you. How is work?" I ask noticing how he has his laptop on the island as he sits on the stool working on something.

"Oh, you know, work is work" he replies.

I take a second to watch him as he continues to type something on his laptop with a serious face on.

"I'm gonna go, see you later?" I ask taking his attention again.

"Sure, take care of the little guy" he responds the smile returning.

Even though he pretends he is fine, we all see right through him. Especially when we saw how happy he was with Louise, it's not difficult to see that he has lost the brightness he had when he was with her.

He is sad and his face tells it all. His body is much more muscular because he hasn't let the gym rest. His eyes are puffy, and no amount of eye cream would fix that. He is not fine. And I'd be a witch if I had to let him be this way any longer than he already has.

"I will," I say already making my way up the stairs.

When I got you Jimmys room, he was in the shower so, I decided to make a call.

"Hey Kath" Sharon responded after one ring.

"Hey Shaz, we need to talk"

And then I remembered something. My water.
