Jungkook was bored, cranky and pissed. Why? Because his boyfriend got kidnapped early in the morning by his stupid brothers, who whisked him off to God knows where and Jungkook was left behind all by himself in the big ass mansion with nothing to do and no one to talk to. The only person he was comfortable with in that house other than his boyfriend was YoonSeo, who also happened to be visiting her family and was gone since morning too. And that left him with Mi-Su, DeiJi and Mina. The last two were not even an option because DeiJi scared the shit out of him and Mina was well, Mina. The woman creeped him out and made his skin crawl.
Taehyung did leave his bike key with Jungkook just in case he wanted to go out somewhere. But going out alone didn't feel as too enticing an option to him. So here he was, stuck inside their bedroom with nothing to do and bored out of his fucking mind. To the extent that he was even thinking of befriending his arch nemesis, Ji-ah and have a heart to heart conversation with her. If he could tolerate her long enough to not strangle her to death that is.
"Come on, Jungkook. You can't stay inside this room for the whole day. Just get off your ass and go down there. You still need to get in the good books of the other Kim family members. Especially Taehyung's grandmother. You can do this. You are brave and you are way more intimidating than a seventy five year old granny. Ok, so maybe the granny is more intimidating, but you can still do this. You are Jeon Jungkook. You are a fighter. And you never give up. All you have to do is to go down there and talk to her. Simple. You can do this. Fighting."
Jungkook gave himself the pep talk, looking into the mirror. And it lasted all of five seconds.
"Who the hell am I kidding? I can't do this. Why couldn't his grandmother be a sweet old lady who gives candy to little kids and spends her time praying or something like that? Instead I have to deal with a devil reincarnate. I swear it will be much easier dealing with my homophobic family than her. Oh, the things I have to do for love."
Jungkook groaned before finally stepping out of his safe zone and made his way towards the living room or as he would like to call it, 'The Enemy Camp.' He thought of turning back and retreating back to his cave like a coward as soon as DeiJi came into his view. But he managed to steel his resolve and walk right up to her in the hopes of infiltrating the enemy camp. DeiJi was the most important person whom he needed to impress. She was the Queen on the chessboard. The most important piece that can make or break anything or in his case, their whole relationship. So impressing her was vital for their plan and also for their relationship. Without her, all of their planning and efforts will be moot.
Jungkook racked his brain to come up with something, anything to talk to DeiJi about. But his brain just came up empty and in his nervousness and anxiety, he ended up knocking a flower vase down which gained DeiJi's attention to him, who didn't look pleased at all with the intrusion.
"Uhm, Go...good Morning, Ha..halmoni. Sorry about that. I will replace it with a new one. I promise." Jungkook cursed himself internally for his clumsiness and now DeiJi was looking at him like he just murdered her puppy.
"Do you practice sorcery or witchcraft, Jungkook?" DeiJi asked, making Jungkook open and close his mouth, trying to figure out how to answer that question.
"Uhm...no?"
"Was that a question or a statement, Jungkook?"
"A statement?" Jungkook answered doubtfully once again, making DeiJi raise her eyebrow at him questioningly and Jungkook immediately collected himself before answering her.
"I mean, it was a statement, Maam and not a question." Jungkook answered, trying to calm down his anxiety.
"Well in that case I assume that you do not possess the ability to time travel, am I right, Jungkook?" Jungkook once again looked at the woman as if she was possessed and was now regretting his choice of leaving his bedroom in the first place.
