"So, Jungkook, how did you and Tae become friends? Don't get me wrong, it's just that Tae hasn't made a single friend in his twenty three years of life other than the four of us here. And we all have been in each other's life since kindergarten. He always said that he didn't need anyone else. That the four of us were enough. So it was a real surprise for us when he introduced you to us. How did you manage to achieve something that no one has been able to achieve previously?"
Jimin had ordered food for everyone and right now they were all sitting around, stuffing their faces when Yoongi asked Jungkook the question they all were curious about. Jungkook wanted to say that Taehyung still has only four friends. And he was a different kind of friend. But that was a whole other conversation that he wasn't ready to have yet. Atleast not without Taehyung.
"Uhm, like Tae already said, we were classmates and roommates. And I was a Korean too. So I guess that worked in our favor." Jungkook downplayed the question since there was no way in hell he could tell them how they actually became "friends" without outing themselves.
"I don't buy that. There has to be a story there other than just you both being roommates. Taehyung is not the kind of person who befriends someone just because he is a Korean. If that was the case then he could've made more friends right here. But he never did. And even if he did make you his friend for that reason, he never would've brought you to Seoul and let you stay in his house and even introduce you to us. He is very protective and possessive of the people in his life. And he would never bring an outsider into his inner circle unless he trusts that person wholeheartedly."
Jimin countered, making Jungkook curse Taehyung in his mind. 'Why the hell did his boyfriend have to be so damn difficult as a person that even the fact that he made a new friend raises more questions? Now how the hell was he supposed to answer that?' he wondered. But luckily before he could come up with a believable answer to that question, his phone rang, making him sigh in relief. He grabbed his phone and his eyes lit up immediately when he saw that it was Taehyung who was calling him.
"Uhm, I need to take this call. It's Tae." Jungkook spoke, accepting the call.
"Put it on speaker." Jackson suggests and even though Jungkook would've much rather preferred to talk to Taehyung in private, he still obliged them. He just hoped to God that Tae didn't call him by any pet names. That would be fun to explain to his friends.
"Hey, Tae. You are on speaker. Say Hi to your friends." Jungkook put the phone on the table so that everyone could hear him.
"Tae, you fucker, how dare you ditch us to go have fun with your brothers? Well, you'll be glad to know that we didn't miss you at all. Because we have replaced you with Jungkook now. And he is so much more fun to be with than your stuck up ass."
"Yeah. And how dare you ignore my calls and messages again, you asshole? You call Jungkook, but not me? Do you think I am some desperate chick who is trying to get into your pants? Ignore my messages one more time and I swear to God, I will knee you in your balls the next time I see you."
"Why are you not saying anything? Hello? Are you there?"
"How the hell will he talk when you idiots won't let him get a single word out?"
"Uhm..hey guys. I am sorry about not answering your calls, Chim. The reception here is not great." The moment Taehyung's voice came through the phone, Jungkook immediately knew that something was wrong. The others weren't able to pick up on it. But he was. And it immediately put him on edge.
"Tae, is everything alright? You don't sound good." Jungkook asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Where are you right now?" Taehyung asked instead of answering Jungkook's question.
