"Drinking Vinegar" Taehyung was familiar with this term which was used to describe when someone feels jealous, but he never truly understood why it was called Drinking Vinegar instead of just saying "You are jealous." But now he understood it. If jealousy was associated with a taste, then he assumes it would be as sour as vinegar. The rational and the more logical part of his brain understands that what he is feeling is baseless and there is no reason for him to feel this way. But the irrational and illogical part of his brain says otherwise. Either ways, he realized that whoever said that Jealousy is a disease was right on money. Because it sure feels like a disease without a cause or a cure.

"Jungkook, here, I bought some pineapple slices for you. I remember pineapple used to be your favorite fruit." And there goes Taehyung's mind plotting the murder of a certain someone once again. It started with his nemesis sitting right next to Jungkook the moment he sat down and trying to initiate a conversation with him even though it was clearly evident that Jungkook wasn't trying to interact and was mostly paying attention only to Taehyung which was the only reason he hadn't lost his temper and punched his arch enemy in the face. But now here he was once again trying to gain Jungkook's attention by giving him food. And Taehyung had to try really hard to not react in any way and keep his composure.

Jungkook, on the other hand, was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He was sitting between Tae and Jaebeom, which to an outsider's perspective wouldn't look anything out of the ordinary. But to Jungkook, this wasn't anything short of hell. He tried his level best to not pay any attention to Jaebeom and to keep all of his attention only on Taehyung. But it was getting impossible by the minute with Jaebeom trying to talk to him every five seconds. If they were the only one's at the table, Jungkook wouldn't have given a damn about Jae and wouldn't have even spared him a look so as not to make Taehyung uncomfortable.

But he couldn't do that right now. Not when there were others at the table too. And they would definitely notice if Jungkook acted standoffish or cold towards Jae. it would raise questions that he wasn't willing to answer. But seeing Jaebeom's constant effort to talk to him, it was only a matter of time before someone took notice and Jungkook was right.

"Do you both know each other previously?" Yoongi asked, who was sitting right opposite Jungkook which in turn brought the attention from the others at the table and now everyone was looking at him for answers, making Jungkook squirm in his seat.

"Yes."

"No." They both answered at the same time. And once again Jungkook wanted to scream at the clueless person sitting next to him. Anyone with half a brain would've taken a hint by now that Jungkook was ignoring him and had absolutely no intention of letting anyone there know about them. But not Jaebeom, apparently, who seemed to either not take the hint or was purposefully playing dumb.

"Oh? You don't know him, Jungkook-ssi? But Jae told me you both were close and you went to the same school." Ji-ah asked, smirking, taking both Jungkook and Taehyung by surprise. Now they were both sure that Ji-ah knew something and Jae's presence there was not just a coincidence as they were thinking.

"I do not remember much from my school days, Ms.Ji-ah. That was seven years ago. I am not in touch with anyone from my old life. And I would like to keep it that way." Jungkook answered, hoping his message was clear to both Jaebeom and Ji-ah and they won't try to bring up his past again. Feeling all eyes on him, Jaebeom quickly excused himself from the table, feeling overwhelmed and upset, making Taehyung release the breath he was holding in. But unfortunately his relief didn't last too long.

"I get it. You left the country and so you had to leave all of your friends behind. But now you are back. And one of your friends from your past life is here. So, why not utilize this chance and restart your friendship again? If it was me, I won't ever be able to leave my friends and not see them or talk to them ever again. I would miss them so much. I can't even think about it. It pains me so much." Ji-ah answered, making Taehyung want to strangle her.
