of jealousy and concern as he saw the two men sit down with Y/N. His hands tightened around the steering wheel, his gaze fixed on the figure of Varek talking to her. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.

Inside the café, Y/N tried to maintain her composure. She gave a noncommittal smile and decided not to give her name. The air felt thicker, and her sense of unease grew as she noticed Varek's casual attempts to probe further.

[Y/N]: "I prefer to keep to myself while reading. It's kind of my little escape."

Varek nodded, his expression still friendly but his eyes sharp.

[Varek]: "Of course, everyone needs an escape sometimes. Say, you look familiar. Have we met before?"

Before Y/N could fend off another question, her phone vibrated. She glanced at the screen to see a text from Yakimano, simple yet urgent.

**Yakimano:** *Is everything okay? Do you need me to come in?*

She texted back quickly, her fingers trembling slightly.

**Y/N:** *Not sure yet. Stay close.*

[Varek]: "Important message?"

Y/N looked up, forcing a smile.

[Y/N]: "Just a friend checking in. You know how it is."

Varek's gaze lingered for a moment longer than comfortable before he nodded.

[Varek]: "Absolutely. It's good to have people who care."

As Varek continued making small talk, Y/N felt increasingly trapped. She noticed Malon's occasional glances in her direction, his body language alert and ready. It was clear they weren't here by coincidence.

Just then, Yakimano entered the café. His presence was commanding, his eyes quickly scanning the room until they fixed on Y/N and her company. He walked over, his demeanor calm but assertive.

[Yakimano]: "Everything alright here?"

Y/N felt a rush of relief seeing him, though she masked her feelings with a nod.

[Y/N]: "Yeah, just making some new friends."

Yakimano's eyes narrowed as he looked at Varek, sensing the underlying threat.

[Yakimano]: "I think it's time for us to go. We have plans, remember?"

Varek stood up, offering a courteous smile that didn't quite hide his disappointment—or was it frustration?

[Varek]: "Of course. It was nice chatting with you."

As Y/N and Yakimano left the café, she leaned close to him.

[Y/N]: "Thank you. Something felt off."

[Yakimano]: "I'm always watching out for you. Let's get you home."

They walked out, Yakimano's arm protectively around her shoulders, both aware that the day's events were far from a simple chance encounter. As they drove away, Yakimano glanced in the rearview mirror, his expression darkening with the weight of unspoken threats they had just narrowly escaped.
