At least they're not oblivious anymore

Just so you know, this has nothing to do with the other book I wrote I just used this name. They're totally different people.

I wake to knocking on my door.

"Thief? Can I come in?" A voice calls. I sit up, and attempt to fix my hair.

"Uh, ya sure!" I call back. He walks in, and smiles. He's ready for the day, in his school uniform.

"How are you ready?" I ask incredulously, "It's literally 5 in the morning."

"I'm a morning person," He shrugs.

"Yeah, well I'm not," I retort, "So what do you want?" His eyes light up.

"Oh yeah! There's this new girl at school and she's so funny," he gushes, "She got here last night, when you went to sleep early. She's amazing. You have to meet her." For some reason, it feels uncomfortable to hear Jax rant about this new kid. Why does it feel like that? Whatever.

"Sounds great," I force a smile, "Let me get changed." He steps out of the room as I get ready. I walk out, dressed in about 5 minutes. I take his hand, and he looks slightly surprised, but the look goes away just as quickly as it came. He leads me down to the cafeteria. A pretty girl that looks about our age turns to us.

"Oh! Jaxy, I thought only you were coming," She smiles, then turns to me, "Hi! I'm Jaxy's best friend, Aria. It's nice to meet you." Jaxy??? Best friend?!? Ugh, I hate her already.

"I'm Gilly," I introduce myself, "Jax's-"

"Girlfriend," he cuts me off. I'm slightly shocked, but if this is something Jax planned, I don't want to ruin it.

"Girlfriend?" She asks, her voice cold, "Jax never mentioned having a girlfriend."

"Well, this has been nice, but I have to go!" I smile, slowly stepping backwards to the door. As soon as I'm out, I sprint towards my dorm. Maxine, Kayla, and AG are at the mall. I opted out, saying I had too much homework. When I reach there, I slide down the wall. I need to process what just happened. Ok here it is.

My crush gushed about how awesome and amazing this new kid is.

Aria said she was Jax's best friend and called him Jaxy

Jax said that I was his girlfriend

Yeah, my life is now screwed up. Why'd he say that? Suddenly, I hear a knock on my door.

"Hey, can I come in?" Jax asks for the second time today. I sigh, and reach up to open the door. Jax looks around for a minute, then spots me.

Jax's P.O.V.

I. Hate. Aria. I only practically ranted about her so that I could catch Gilly's attention and get her downstairs. Maybe I should've just left her alone.

"I'm sorry I said that you were my girlfriend it's just that Aria is sooooo annoying and she's always trying to get with me and she's just awful and I've known her since kindergarten and she used to be nice but now she's so snobby and I just needed to shut her up and-"

"You told her I'm your girlfriend, Jax!" She exclaims, cutting me off, "You couldn't of just told her that you were taken? Why me! Now we have to act the whole time she's here! Kayla could've done this so much easier! What were you thinking!?!" I wince.

"I'm sorry!" I apologize, "I really am! I should've told you what was going on and- ugh." I slide down the wall, my head in my hands. I shouldn't of done this.

"I'm sorry," I mumble again through my hands. I hear her sigh.

"It's fine," She tells me, "It just wasn't a very smart decision." Suddenly, the door burst open.
