Gasps cut through the otherwise quiet air as the door opened. Then tears. Loads of them.

"You're supposed to be dead," AG whispered, hugging him fiercely, before pulling away and slapping him, "Where were you?! 5 months, Jaxon! 5 freaking months! What have you been doing?!?" Her voice broke, and Jocelyn pulled her away from him.

All their friends stood in the empty lounge of FTRS. All expect one.

"Where's Gilly?" Jax's voice was hoarse, as if it hadn't been used in years. He didn't miss the way the mood shifted in the room.

"A lot has changed, Jax," Ollie said finally, "A lot." Jax fixed his eyes on him.

"Gilly," He repeated, "Where is she?"

"In her room," Kayla answered, sniffling as she clung to Ollie, "Like she has been for the past 4 months."

"Months?" Jax whispered, desperately hoping she had said hours of minutes or days.

"Months," She confirmed, her delicate wings fluttering, "She thought you were gone Jax. It broke her. Not a month after you left, she requested her own dorm. Now she does all her work from there and gets her food delivered to her. The last time she talked to someone was about 2 months ago, when I managed to get her to leave the room and go outside. She left a few minutes later."

"I'm going to see her."

"Jax, that's not a good idea," Another voice told him. He turned to find it to be Jack, though any hostility towards him that had been there before was replaced by pure concern.

"I don't care if it's a good or bad idea, I haven't seen her in months and I need to see her," His voice cracked, "Please."

"Fine," Kayla hesitated, "I'll take you up to her room." He nodded gratefully, and they started down the shifting halls, their shoes clacking against the floors, echoing in the silence. Finally, after what felt like decades to the young prince, they reached a door which Kayla stopped in front of.

"Please help her," She mumbled, before flying away. Jax took a breath, before opening the door. He was met with the sight of random papers strewn across the floor, multiple plates stacked in the corner of the small, undecorated room. She sat on her bed, knees tucked tight against chest, arms wrapped around them. Her head lay against the wall, with her eyes shut.

And all he could think was that she still looked as beautiful as ever, even with her hair in a rat's nest and uniform crinkled. He himself was not a pretty sight, he knew even without a mirror. His arms were covered in bruises and cuts, some still stinging, and his clothes were tattered and ripped.

At the sudden sound of the door, her eyes snapped open, bloodshot, only to find the sight she thought she would never see again. She inhaled sharply, and Jax spotted her pinch herself, as if it were a dream.

"Gilly," He whispered. That was all it took for her to jump up, race across the room, and run into his arms. He wrapped them around her tightly, almost protectively, as she buried her head in his chest.

"You're not supposed to be here," She cried softly, "Y-you're dead. I saw her take you away and you were unconscious and- Grimm, you're alive Jax. You're alive."

"I'm alive," He agreed, "And I'm never leaving you alone again."

Should I write more? If I do, I'm just gonna edit this and add to it, but I dunno. I would only write a few hundred more words, not to much.

EDIT: As requested, I'm adding to it

She continued to cry into his shirt as he drew circles on her back.

"I'm here," He whispered over and over, "I'm here." Finally, she pulled away. Her face was streaked with tears, and her eyes were watery, but she still looked beautiful as ever to Jax.

"Where?" Gilly asked, studying his face, "Why? How? When?"

"I escaped," He mumbled, "From her. It took months, and she tortured me everyday, but I finally escaped about a week ago, and it took me this long to come here and I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I left you alone here and I'm sorry I let myself get caught and I'm sorry I couldn't protect you and-"

She pressed her lips to his, cutting off his rant. The kiss said all the unspoken words drifting between them and it made the series of unfortunate events that had slowly passed by during the few months he had been gone disappear as they were both focused on each other.

"I missed you," She hugged him again once they pulled apart.

"I missed you too, Thief," He smiled softly, giving her a kiss on the forehead, "I missed you more than anyone else."

"WHAT ABOUT ME???" A voice screamed from down the hall. Jax looked away from his beautiful best friend and towards the person that had called the words.

"I missed you the least!" He called back, ducking as a shoe came flying at him.

"He meant that missed you a lot!" Gilly corrected, shaking her head at Ollie's antics. Kayla quickly flew towards her, her eyes filled with tears.

"And we missed you too, Gilly," She smiled, "It's good to have you two back."
