2 weeks.

2 weeks since the Eras Tour.

2 weeks since we kissed.

2 weeks since I've talked to her.

2 weeks since I've even seen her.

That's right, Gillian Cobbler, heroine of Enchantasia, hasn't come out of her dorm room in 2 frickin weeks. But, not because of um, the thing, because she's sick. Like, really sick. And I haven't visited her once. The door creaks open, and in comes Ollie.

"I'm a horrible person," My voice is muffled, as I'm lying in my bed with my face in my pillow.

"Then go talk to her," Ollie responds. I turn and take a peek at him. There. On his lips, is a red tint. Lipstick. I scramble to get my phone, and when I do, I snap a picture of him. He turns to me.

"What?" He asks, "Do I have something on my face?"

"Yeah, and that something gives me all the proof I need that you and Kayla are dating," I laugh. He sprints towards my bed, but I climb up and stand on my toes so he can't reach.

"This isn't funny Jax," He whines.

"Uh, yeah it is!" I smirk. He rolls his eyes.

"Fine, you win," He grumbles, "Me and Kayla are dating."

"Not a surprise," I grin triumphantly. He raises an eyebrow at me.

"You're just distracting yourself from going, aren't you?" He questions. My face turns a little red.

"Wh-where?" I ask stupidly.

"You know where," He rolls his eyes again. Rude.

"Fine, I'll go," I sigh. He smiles and does a goofy victory dance. I stand up and walk out the door, making sure not to close it so everyone can see Ollie. Serves him right for making me go.

Finally, I reach Gilly, Kayla, and Maxine's room. After a moment of hesitation, I knock on the door once, hoping that no one answers.

"Yeah?" A voice calls through the door. No such luck.

"Hi," I call back. After a minute of silence, there's some shuffling, and the voice says, "Come in." I open the door, and the next sight surprises me.

Gilly sits on her bed, looking absolutely horrible. Her face is ghostly pale, except for her cheeks, which are red.

"Hey," She croaks, "What's up?" I walk over and sit on the bed.

"What happened?" I ask her incredulously.

"That bad?" She winces. I nod.

"Did you go to Nurse Cathy?" I question.

"No," She mumbles.

"You have to."

"No I don't."

"You're really sick, Thief, I'm worried."

"What's she gonna do?" Her eyes look dull, missing the usual mischievous gleam. I really am worried.

"Come on," I tug her arm gently, standing up. She groans, but stands up.

"C'mon, what's the worst that could happen?" I smile, "It's just to check."

Gilly has the flu. The nurse told me to stay away, but who's she to tell me what to do? Every so often, I'll bring Gilly soup. We still haven't talked about what happened after the Tour. Maybe we can just forget about it?

"J-jax," Gilly stutters one day, "So um, do y-you want to t-talk ab-about what happened th-that night?" My face turns fire-moon red.

"I mean, only if you want to," I respond, staring at the ground.

"I don't think I can just forget," She sighs, "I don't know anymore. What are we Jax?" Her eyes are pleading, hoping I have an answer. I shrug.

"What do you want to be?" I ask her, whispering. She shrugs too, and for a moment we just stand there.

Well this is awkward. Suddenly, the silence is cut by her coughing. We look at each other, and burst out laughing.

"This is stupid," Gilly shakes her head, "We're best friends, awkwardness doesn't exist." I nod in agreement. She's right, nothing can break us.

"We can figure this out," I tell her, sitting down on her bed, "Together." She grabs my hand, our fingers interlocking.

"Yeah, we can," She agrees.

"More than one thing," I joke, "Who knew you were a flirter?"

"Only when I want to be," She winks. I laugh, and she smiles.

"Gilly, would you like to go out with me sometime?" I blurt out.

"Of course!" She grins, hugging me.

And everything is perfect.

I know, it was super short, but can you blame me? It's like, 2 in the morning as I write this. Of course, I'm not posting it rn, I'll post it later in the day, maybe after school (I hate mondays)
