As Nop gracefully exited, leaving Sam and Mon alone in the garden, Sam approached Mon with a determined yet apologetic expression.

"Mon, I need to apologize for what happened at Jim's wedding," Sam began, her voice sincere. " You know that you're the only one I want to be with. That's why I'm taking steps to fix things with Kirk."

Mon listened, her heart torn between hope and fear. "Sam, I appreciate your efforts, but I can't help but worry about the consequences of this scandal," she confessed, her voice tinged with anxiety. "I don't want to see you hurt because of me."

As tears streamed down Mon's cheeks, she poured out her fears, each one heavier than the last. "Sam, I'm terrified," she confessed, her voice trembling with emotion. "What if your efforts lead to your downfall? What if you lose everything you've worked so hard for? And what if, once again, you choose your grandmother over me? How long can you hold on to me?"

Sam's heart ached as she watched Mon's anguish spill out. With a gentle touch, she guided Mon's head to rest on her shoulder, offering what comfort she could. "Mon, listen to me," she said softly, her own tears mingling with Mon's. "I will hold your hand until my last breath. I will fight for us, for our love, no matter what it takes. You are my everything, and I won't let you go this time."

"Mon, listen to me," Sam's voice was steady, her eyes locked on Mon's. "You are the only person I need in my life. I don't care about anyone else but you."

A tearful smile graced Mon's lips as Sam gently wiped away her tears, the warmth of Sam's touch comforting her.

"I know things are tough right now," Sam continued, her voice soft but determined. "But I still hope, with all my heart, that you'll stand by me through this battle."

Mon nodded, her own voice choked with emotion as she confirmed, "I'll stay with you, Sam, through thick and thin. We'll face this together, as we always have."

And in that moment, as they held each other close, they knew that no matter the challenges ahead, their love would see them through.

As Mon's leave came to an end, she felt a renewed sense of optimism, ready to put all the negative events behind her and focus on her relationship with Sam.

With a lighter heart and a smile on her face, Mon dialed Sam's number as soon as she settled back into her work routine.

Meanwhile, Sam, already at the office and immersed in her usual routine, glanced at the TV for early news updates, Sam grinned when she saw Mon's name flash on her phone screen. She quickly answered, her voice warm with affection. "Good morning, beautiful," she greeted, her heart skipping a beat at the sound of Mon's voice.

"Good morning, sunshine," Mon replied, her own heart fluttering at the endearment. "I just wanted to hear your voice before I head to the office. How's your morning going?"

Sam chuckled softly, the sound like music to Mon's ears. "It's going great now that I'm talking to you," she said, her tone filled with love. "I can't wait to see you later."

Mon's smile widened at Sam's words. "You too, my love," she replied, feeling a surge of happiness wash over her. "I'll see you soon. I love you."

"I love you too, Mon," Sam said, her voice soft with affection. "Always." And with that, they said their goodbyes, both feeling grateful for the simple joy of starting their day together, even from a distance.

The morning tranquility was interrupted by the blaring sound of the television, drawing Sam's attention away from the lingering warmth of her conversation with Mon. As she glanced at the screen, her heart sank at the sight of her own face plastered across the news report.
