As the team gathered in the office, anticipation hung in the air like a palpable energy. Yha stood at the front, a smile playing on her lips as she scanned the eager faces before her.

“Good morning, everyone,” she began, her voice projecting warmth and enthusiasm. “I have some exciting news to share with all of you today.”

The room buzzed with anticipation, each member leaning forward in their seats, eager to hear what Yha had to say.

“I’m delighted to announce that we have a new department head,” Yha continued, her eyes twinkling with excitement. “Please join me in welcoming back Mon!”

A collective gasp of surprise and delight filled the room as everyone turned to see Mon standing at the doorway, a confident smile on her face.

Mon stepped forward, her gaze sweeping over her colleagues with a mixture of gratitude and determination. “Thank you, Yha,” she said, her voice steady. “I’m thrilled to be back, and I’m looking forward to leading this team to even greater heights.”

The room erupted into applause as Mon made her way to the front, greeted by congratulatory hugs and handshakes from her colleagues. It was a moment of celebration and renewal, a testament to Mon’s resilience and the unwavering support of her team.

As Mon took her place at the front of the room, ready to embark on this new chapter of her career, there was a sense of excitement and optimism in the air. With Mon at the helm, they knew that anything was possible.

Mon settled into her new office, her surroundings familiar yet somehow different, imbued with a sense of responsibility and authority. As she organized her desk, the door swung open, and Yha entered with a mischievous grin.

“Well, well, well,” Yha exclaimed, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Looks like I’ll be taking orders from you now, boss!”

Mon chuckled, shaking her head at Yha’s playful demeanor. “Don’t get too excited, Yha. I’m still the same old Mon you know and love.”

Yha leaned against the doorframe, curiosity gleaming in her eyes. “So, what made you come back, Mon? Not that we’re complaining, of course.”

Mon paused, her expression softening as she considered Yha’s question. “It’s complicated,” she admitted, her gaze drifting to the window for a moment before returning to Yha. “But everything between Sam and me is okay now. Sam’s grandmother asked me to come back and look out for the team while Sam is resting during her pregnancy.”

Yha nodded, her expression thoughtful. “Well, we’re glad to have you back, Mon. And I’m sure Sam is too.”

Mon smiled gratefully, touched by Yha’s words. “Thanks, Yha. It feels good to be back.”

As Yha left the office, Mon couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and purpose. She was ready to lead her team with determination and compassion, knowing that she had their full support every step of the way.

Mon was engrossed in organizing her new office, her focus solely on the tasks at hand as she settled into her role as the new department head. The sound of a gentle knock interrupted her concentration, and she looked up to see Yha standing in the doorway, a smile playing on her lips.

"Mon, someone's here to see you," Yha announced, her eyes alight with excitement.

Mon's heart skipped a beat as she realized who it must be. "Sam?" she asked, unable to hide the anticipation in her voice.

Yha nodded eagerly. "Yes, Sam is here."

A rush of emotions flooded through Mon as she rose from her desk, her pulse quickening with each step towards the door. She couldn't believe that Sam was here, standing just outside her office.

As Sam entered, Mon's heart swelled with love and concern. She greeted Sam warmly, her urgency evident as she ushered her to a chair.

"Sam, please, sit down," Mon urged, her voice filled with urgency. "Is everything okay?" she asked, her eyes searching Sam's face for any signs of distress.

Sam sank into the chair, exhaustion etched on her features. "I'm okay, Mon," she assured her, though her voice was tinged with weariness. "I just needed to see you to congratulate you on your new role."

Mon's heart warmed at Sam's teasing, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips despite her concern. "Thank you, Sam," she replied warmly, touched by her girlfriend's gesture. "But you really should be resting," she added, her tone gentle yet firm.

Sam pouted playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I know, I know," she conceded, though her reluctance was evident. "But I couldn't stand being cooped up at home without you," she admitted, her voice tinged with a hint of longing.

Mon's expression softened at Sam's words, a pang of sympathy tugging at her heartstrings. "I understand, Sam," she reassured her, reaching out to squeeze her hand in comfort. "But you need to take care of yourself, especially now."

Sam nodded, her gaze meeting Mon's with gratitude. "I will," she promised, though her anxiety was palpable. "I just can't shake this feeling of unease, especially with the annulment results looming over us."

Mon's heart swelled with tenderness as she guided Sam from the office chair to the plush couch, her arms wrapped protectively around her. "Ok, why don't you stay with me, Sam?" she suggested softly, her voice laced with warmth and affection. "That way, I can keep an eye on you and make sure you're comfortable."

Sam's eyes lit up with gratitude as she settled onto the couch, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Really I can stay here, Mon," she agreed, her voice filled with appreciation. "Thank you."

Mon chuckled softly, her love for Sam shining in her eyes. "Just don't get too comfortable," she teased playfully, though her tone was affectionate. "I still need to work so I can save money for our baby's needs."

Sam's playful grin widened as she reached out to gently stroke Mon's cheek. "You don't need to save, Mon," she insisted, her voice filled with affection. "I'll take care of us."

Mon's heart swelled with love at Sam's words, her eyes softening with emotion. Leaning down, she pressed a tender kiss to Sam's forehead, her touch filled with love and reassurance. "I know you will, Sam," she whispered, her voice filled with unwavering faith. "But we're a team, remember? We'll take care of each other."

With a contented sigh, Sam settled back onto the couch, her heart filled with gratitude and love for the incredible woman by her side. As Mon returned to her work, Sam closed her eyes, feeling safe and loved in the warmth of their shared embrace.
