Kirk's unexpected visit one afternoon caught everyone off guard as they were deeply engrossed in their work. Yha and Mon exchanged apprehensive glances, silently communicating their shared anxiety about Kirk's presence. Despite their unease, they remained composed, trying to mask their concerns behind their workstations. Meanwhile, Kirk, oblivious to the tension in the air, cheerfully invited everyone to join him for a snack, hoping to lighten the mood.

Kirk approached Mon with a mischievous grin, offering her a snack. "Here you go, Mon. Thought you could use a little pick-me-up," he said sarcastically, his tone laced with subtle curiosity. "And hey, we should catch up later, especially on your love life. I'm excited to hear if you're dating someone," he added, his gaze lingering with amusement.

As Sam emerged from her office, she raised an eyebrow at Kirk's presence. "Oh, what a surprise, Kirk. Visiting us during work hours?" she remarked sarcastically, stepping forward to intercept the interaction between Kirk and Mon.

"Mon, sorry to interrupt, but we've got that urgent client call," Sam said, smoothly diverting Mon's attention away from Kirk's probing. "Please handle that first with Yha," she added, giving Mon a knowing look, silently indicating that she needed to escape Kirk's prying eyes.

Yha quickly stepped in, linking arms with Mon and guiding her away from the scene. "Come on, Mon, we've got work to do," she said, subtly pulling Mon away from Kirk's line of sight.

Meanwhile, Sam seized the opportunity to deal with her husband. "Kirk, we need to talk," she said firmly, taking his arm and leading him towards her office. "Now." Her tone left no room for argument as she ushered him inside, ready to confront him about his unexpected visit and his invasive questions.

Sam pushed Kirk into her office and swiftly closed the door behind them, the click echoing in the room. She turned to face him, her expression demanding answers. "What are you doing here, Kirk?" she asked sharply, her tone leaving no room for evasion.

Kirk shifted uncomfortably under Sam's gaze. "I just thought I'd drop by and see how things were going," he replied casually, but Sam could sense there was more to it.

"And the snacks?" Sam pressed, gesturing to the plate Kirk had brought with him. "What's that about?"

Kirk hesitated for a moment before replying, "Just a little something to sweeten up the day for everyone." His attempt at nonchalance fell flat in the face of Sam's scrutiny.

Sam narrowed her eyes, unconvinced by Kirk's explanation. She knew there was something more going on, and she was determined to get to the bottom of it.

As Sam and Kirk stood face to face in her office, tension crackled in the air. Sam's gaze bore into Kirk's, her suspicion palpable. "Cut the act, Kirk. I know there's more to your visit than just checking in on things," she said sharply.

Kirk shifted uneasily under Sam's scrutiny, but he maintained a composed facade. "Alright, Sam. You got me," he admitted, his tone betraying a hint of apprehension. "I came here to see if Mon has truly returned and is working for you."

Sam's eyes narrowed further, her mind racing as she processed Kirk's admission. She couldn't let Kirk uncover the truth about her relationship with Mon. "And why exactly are you so interested in Mon's whereabouts?" she asked, her voice laced with suspicion.

Kirk hesitated for a moment before replying carefully, "Let's just say I have my reasons." But his evasive answer only fueled Sam's determination to protect her secret at all costs.

Kirk's eyes bore into Sam's, his expression growing more intense with each passing second. "Sam, why haven't you told me that Mon is back?" he demanded, his voice edged with frustration.
