OPENING NIGHT!!!!

Opening Night!!!

Call time was 4:30 PM so I got there and we rehearsed a bit in the band room, then went to the auditorium and just had to wait for the doors to open and then the show to start. My parents sat in the front row but they still didn't have a good view of me cuz band kids were blocking their view lol

I know I played good. Yeah maybe I missed a safety or two in The Neva Flows Reprise and didn't realize the song had ended 😅, but I played the right rhythm (firsts did not) in Quartet at the Ballet and I played all the right notes even when the key signature was a bitch. Brass on the other hand....jesus....

Last day of tech week brass played 90% right notes

Opening night brass played 40% right notes

Journey to the Past was so bad

I mean Kaylee was really good at singing

But trumpet wtf happened

And trombone too

French horn made a dog noise at some point too

Intermission I realized they were never giving us potbelly for dinner so my dad got me two Reese's peanut butter cups from concessions out in the hallway. 

Act 2 went slightly better than Act 1 (and it's shorter!) and the show finally ended and we fucked up on the exit music but it's ok...

After the show, there were lots of hugs and cheering and dramatically falling to the floor. I saw Yenna and her friend (idk her name lol) and the friend said pit did really good and she was being really nice to me (probably because her first impression of me was an ugly sobbing mess, oopsie). 

The pit kept saying we ate a light snack lmao.

The orchestra storage rooms were all locked so I had to leave my school violin with Rory's violin and Lile's cello in the band room with a paper that said "touch the violins/cello + DIE" so I brought my viola home

I love the show everyone is so good at singing, the only thing that was kinda sus was the dancing

I don't know how Tristan (Vlad) is in school today and not sleeping cuz I know the actors went home later than me and I got home at 10 PM

I slept in 25 minutes this morning and somehow I still got to school on time 

Chemistry is boring and I'm typing this now on my phone hidden in my calculator cover 🤭 I don't wanna do a lab but we might unless voulez-vous spends the rest of class answering everyone's questions until the bell rings 

Apparently the entire school is supposed to go down to the cafeteria now but voulez-vous isn't letting us because he doesn't know which of us is supposed to go but i think it's a reward/certificate and maybe a snack, bro that's not fair I wanna go

Study hall I got half of my math homework done and then started listening to The Tortured Poets Department

HOLY SHIT I LOVE IT!!!!

Orchestra is free period

During my math my AirPods died 😭 and I somehow survived class even tho it's fucking boring and also there's a quiz next class 😭
