Chapter 42
Treasure POV:

After leaving the room, we were escorted back to the office where we found the guys sitting in different areas. Elijah of course sitting on his throne behind the desk, Alonzo sitting in front on one of the office chairs and Lorenzo sitting on the nearby couch smoking a cigar.

When they noticed us entering the room, they turned quiet and still. Liz spoke first, breaking the silence. "He didn't say much but he said enough to hint that y'all are looking at it all wrong. Do you guys know anything that they might want? Like they'll go full length to get it." We didn't get information for them specifically just like they wanted. We mainly got it for us but now we have to flip the wording of what we already know.

"Yea, we do." Elijah sighed, sinking into his throne. He replied quickly though. Quick enough to already figure where this was leading to. Like of course he was already ten steps ahead.

"Do you mind if I ask what?" I crossed my arms, looking confused.

"It's a family heirloom." Alonzo spoke up, getting into the serious conversation.

"Why would he possibly do all this just for an old heirloom?" That would be a genuine question if the heirloom was something simple like a clock or old watch. Something so materialistic. No one expects this heirloom would be a hard drive full of dirty little secrets.

"It holds a lot of information. A lot of power." Elijah answered for Alonzo.

"Well whatever this family heirloom is, that's what they're after. Not Elijah or the girls or all the other bullshit he's caused. Those were just distractions."

"The mole was sent in here to try to figure out where it was."

"Figured if you were too busy with all your shipment missing, girls kidnapping and meetings that we wouldn't pay attention to the mole snooping around." Lorenzo made the connection.

"Did the rat say if he knew where it was?"

"No." I replied.

"Great work. Thank you." They started brainstorming ideas of how to handle their situation and while doing so, they never named where the hard drive may be. I don't get why they're speaking in tongue when we literally just went to speak with your rat.

Technically we do know where the hard drive may be but it's not guaranteed. Nor do we know where exactly, just the location.

Elijah proceeded to talk with his brother and second hand before doing some more work. He offered to get his men to take me home if i wanted but i declined.

Liz left with Lorenzo and Alonzo decided to keep me company, giving me a tour of the place.

A few hours later, Elijah found us, breaking the fun that Alonzo and I were having. Before we stopped it we were playing with his trainees, scaring them in thinking they're about to get in trouble with Elijah and that he's expecting them in his office in 5 minutes. The reactions were hilarious because they all had the same reaction. After we let it dwell in and laughed in the corner, we would break the bad news that they aren't actually in trouble.

Elijah had found us in the corner dying after just pranking our victim. "What are y'all doing?" We both tried to respond but it would never come out because of the laughter.

"We're pranking your trainees into thinking they're in trouble using your name." I ended up saying it fully without laughing. I seen he was getting annoyed and that's never a good thing for me. I rather him normal than any annoyed or agitated mood.

He just rolled his eyes and shook his head of disappointment.

"Come on, we're leaving." He held his hand out for me. I grabbed it allowing for our hands to intwine.
