24. Plans & Back Up Plans

Namjoon's pov

With the news that those men had doubled back around, I was now concerned about the safety of my soulmates. I knew that if they found that Jae was here, we would have a lot more problems so I decided to get into contact with an old friend of mine who lived further up north. He had a place for the eight of us to stay and even had room for Hyunjin, if he was going to travel with us which I doubted. Hyunjin seemed like an independent soul but something tells me, he's been on his own for a while. From what Jimin explained to me, Hyunjin had been separated from his soulmates for a long time. He was out looking for them which is how he ended up in our area after being captured by those crazy men, they were using him as a hunting dog. We started scenting everything that belonged to Jae and hid clothes away in the safe room, which she was currently in with Jungkook. He had not left her side since I took them in there, when I left he had not changed back to his hybrid form which meant he was still stressed. Jimin was currently working with Jin on Hyunjin's wound care, it would probably be a good idea to get him to stay with Seo-Jae and Jungkook to help ease his stress. Though we didn't have a laptop in the main living space, we kept one in the safe room. Yoongi wanted us to live off the grid and put safety guards in place to make sure that nobody from any of our pasts could randomly just find us. Since we first moved in here, we haven't had a single person from our respective pasts find us here except Hyunjin. Though, I didn't trust him, I didn't get the sense that he was a danger to Jimin and Jungkook. Those two could handle themselves well and they seemed to have no bad blood with Hyunjin. "Namjoon, what are you thinking about?" I looked up from the counter, my eyes landing on Yoongi. He had been moving throughout the cabin, making sure that Seo-Jae's scent was heavily masked by his.

"About safety... About our safety." I said.

"Namjoon..." He started.

"I have to worry. If this cabin becomes compromised then we have to leave the area for good. I called my friend.."

"You called Suho?" I looked to my left as Jin came walking into the room with Hoseok.

"Yes, I did."

"Without talking to me?" Jin looked furious, "Hyung, I had no choice. If this cabin is found and we are all put in jeopardy, we need a safe place to go. Suho hyung has a place for us 5o stay for a while and he has room to take in Hyunjin as well." I explained.

"And you took him up on that offer?" Jin asked, crossing his arms.

"Hyung, I don't have a choice. Where else are we supposed to go if this cabin becomes the number one target for those men?" I quipped, "We would have figured it out. We don't need the second hand help from Suho!" Jin stated, raising his voice. Naturally, I became upset because he was raising his voice at me. Hoseok and Taehyung came out into the kitchen, wondering what was going on "Hyung," Yoongi started, starting to look worried and uncomfortable. "Hyung, it is our only option!" I raised my voice, "There is no way I can accept that! We are not going to his place!" Jin snapped, "Hyung, we have no other choice! There is no other place we can go if those men find Jae. Going to Suho is the only way to keep her safe if this place is compromised. I don't know what kind of grudge you have against Suho but I can't stand by and have nowhere for us to go if we have to leave! Jae is still sick and Hyunjin is still injured, if we get discovered here, we need to get her out of here and somewhere her father can't reach her."

"Both of you need to calm down. Arguing is not going to solve anything. And with the two of you arguing, Jungkook and Jae can feel the anger in the soul bond. You have got to stop. I can feel Jae becoming anxious from the anger being produced by the two of you." Hoseok spoke up, he was the one who was usually the calmest person in the room. He was the one besides Yoongi, who could calm down an argument that broke out between any of us, especially arguments that broke out between Jin hyung and I.

"You're right.." I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. I could feel Jae's anxiety and Jungkook's overwhelming sense of worry from the safe room. "I'm sorry for raising my voice, hyung.." I apologized, Jin just let out a heavy sigh and shook his head.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too. I don't exactly agree on the plan to go to Suho's place but if it's the only place to go then so be it. I'll just suck it up. Doesn't mean that I'll get along with him. And if he tries to sucker up to Jae, I'm going to kill him." With that Jin walked off and I assumed that he was going to see Jae and Jungkook to relieve their anxiety and worry. I let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing my hands on my face as I sat down.

"What plan was he talking about, Joon?" Hoseok asked.

"I called Suho to see if he had any room where he is living now for us to go should this cabin be put in jeopardy. He has the room and has graciously offered to let us stay there if we need it."

"You called Suho, knowing Jin Hyung and him have bad blood?" Taehyung asked, "I had to Tae.. We need somewhere to go. We need a place where Jae's father can't get to her. I'll be damned if I let those men take her from us." The front door opened and in walked Jimin, who was helping Hyunjin walk inside. "Jin hyung!!" Jimin shouted, Hoseok immediately rushed to his side and helped Jimin sit Hyunjin on the couch. Yoongi shut the front door, locking it behind them and covered the front window. Jin came rushing out of the hallway, as I noticed that Hyunjin was bleeding and bruised. "What the hell happened out there?" I asked, "Those men that tried to kidnap Jae came back to look for Hyunjin.. This time they brought cavalry to bring Hyunjin in. But we fought them off and once I injured one of them severely, they got the message to back off." Jimin explained.

"Did they follow you?" Yoongi asked.

"No, I made sure they couldn't. They won't be able to track us this way." Jimin shook his head, Jin grabbed his med kit and came back out to treat Hyunjin's wounds.

"How did Hyunjin get hurt?" Jin looked up at Jimin, who looked at Hyunjin and the two shared a look before looking at Jin. "Hyunjin tried to sneak up on one of them, but they shot at him and grazed his side. They were anticipating his moves." Jimin answered, "We don't speak a word of this to Jae." Hyunjin stated, making us all look at him in confusion.

"Why not?" Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows, "Because one of the men that was after Hyunjin was assigned by Jae's father. They don't know she's here at all but they suspect she's somewhere in the area." Jimin said, making my heart drop into my stomach. Jin looked back at me, stopping what he was doing.

"Looks like we'll be leaving sooner than we thought." He said.

"I'll start packing." Hoseok left the room, Taehyung and Yoongi following him. "We have to let Jungkook and Jae know we'll be leaving soon." I said, "I'll do it." Jimin got up and left the room, heading to the safe room.
