Seo-Jae's pov
Jimin led me into his shared room, Jungkook and Taehyung following along with me. Jimin sat me down on his bed, while Jungkook sat across from me and Jimin on his bed which was to the right of us. Taehyung left the room, which I assume he was going to see what the others were doing. I winced slightly when Jimin started treating my cuts, the alcohol stinging just a little as he dressed each wound. I shivered slightly, still feeling cold from being outside in the snow for so long. Taehyung came back into the room, with a blanket draped over his shoulder and something in a mug. "Drink this," I took the mug from Taehyung, looking down as the smell of hot chocolate invaded my nose. "Thanks," I gave him a small smile as he wrapped the blanket around my shoulders, he kissed the top of my head and sat down next to Jungkook while Jimin started taking care of my wounds. "There we go," He smiled, placing a bandaid over one of the cuts on my arm. "You got out of that mess unscathed, you're very lucky." Jungkook said, "I know.." I trailed off, my mind wandered off as Jimin checked my gunshot wound which was still healing. "I just didn't want anything bad to happen to him. Not when he needed help." I sighed, "We know, Jae. We're not holding that against you. It's okay." Jimin gave me a warm smile, which only melted my heart.
"Everything seems just fine. Your wound isn't agitated, just a little red. We'll be able to take the stitches out soon." Jimin smiled at me lightly, wrapping my wound back up as I nodded in response. "How did you find Hyunjin?" Jungkook asked, "I followed his tracks." I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly, all three of them looked at me in shock. "You tracked him?" Taehyung asked, he looked very tense about me being able to track footprints. "Yes, I tracked him."
"How?"
"My friends who work for my Dad. They taught me how to forage for food and track a few years ago. My Dad forced me on a camping trip with him and his crew, so they taught me how to hunt, track and forage for food in the woods for survival." I explained, all three of them still stared at me in shock.
"What? I'm a quick study."
"That's just insane." Jungkook shook his head.
"I know..." I trailed off. We all were startled when we heard shouting coming from the living room, it sounded like Hyunjin must have woken up. I could hear Jin telling Namjoon and Yoongi to hold him down, "Sounds like Hyunjin woke up." Taehyung muttered, his ears twitching. "Jimin, I need you out here!" Jin shouted, "I'm coming." Jimin scrambled to his feet, grabbing all the medical supplies that would be needed. "Kook-ah, stay with Jae and keep her warm. Tae, you should make her another cup of hot chocolate." Jimin left the room, with Taehyung following him. Jungkook stood to his feet and came over to me, wrapping me in his arms.
"You know snow leopards are naturally warm, Right?" Jungkook asked, making me giggle as I leaned onto him. "Let's keep you warm, shall we?" He grabbed my hands, trying to keep me distracted from Hyunjin's screaming which had gotten louder and sounded more painful. I frowned, burying my face into Jungkook's neck as he wrapped me in a hug. The door opened a few moments later, revealing Taehyung who was carrying three mugs of hot chocolate. He closed the door behind him, placing the mugs on the desk next to our bed. "How is he?" Jungkook asked, referring to Hyunjin.
"It wasn't looking good. Jin Hyung says he a considerable amount of blood and said Hyunjin might need a blood transfusion, but we don't know his blood type. The bullet that he was shot with broke on impact and ended up in pieces, so he has to dig them out."
"Wow, I didn't think his injuries were that bad." Jungkook responded. I held Jungkook a little tighter, feeling worse than I already did because I made his injuries worse. Had I not gotten myself caught, I could of have found Hyunjin a lot sooner and made sure he didn't lose anymore blood. He risked his life to save someone he didn't know and now he might die if Jin and Jimin can't save him, "I'm sorry, Kook-ah." Taehyung frowned, sitting down on the bed.
"It's not your fault. He chose to risk his life for someone he didn't know.. Just like he did three years ago with Jimin Hyung and I. And it's not your fault either, Seo-Jae. Don't blame yourself for him putting himself in harm's way." Jungkook said, looking down at me. I met his eyes, tears already starting to form as I felt so guilty.
"But I-"
"No, I'm not going to let you go down that route. Jimin Hyung did the same thing when Hyunjin saved us and nearly died because of it, he blamed himself and it wasn't his fault. Nor is it yours. Hyunjin knew the risks of what he was doing and he didn't care because he saw someone in trouble and wanted to help. Don't blame yourself for his choices." Jungkook reassured me, kissing my forehead as I placed my head on his chest.
"Kook is right, Jae. This isn't your fault." Taehyung stroked my hair softly, as he laid down behind me.
"Okay.." I mumbled, sniffling as I closed my eyes. Pretty soon, I started to get sleepy and started drifting off to sleep as Hyunjin's screaming had finally stopped.
As it became completely quiet out in the living room, Jungkook had drifted off to sleep with Seo-jae while Taehyung was still awake. His ears twitched as he heard footsteps coming towards the bedroom, he turned his head as the door opened and revealed Hoseok. "Hyung.." Taehyung called softly, he motioned to Jae and Jungkook who were asleep and Hoseok smiled upon seeing them cuddled up and sleeping peacefully. Taehyung got up slowly and quietly, leaving the room with Hoseok. He closed the door softly behind him as the two stood in the hallway, "How is he?" Taehyung asked.
"Jin Hyung and Jimin managed to get the fragments out of his system and they successfully stopped the bleeding, lucky for him and us he won't need blood. They just finished stitching him up." Hoseok explained.
"Why'd he stop screaming?"
"Jin hyung knocked him out with some meds." Hoseok shrugged. "How is Jae doing?" He asked Taehyung, "Not that great. She is blaming herself for Hyunjin's injuries being worse even though we told her it wasn't her fault that he risked his life for her." Hoseok sighed, "Let's hope she doesn't spiral like Jimin did when this happened three years ago." Hoseok said, "Yeah.. Let's hope he'll make a full recovery."
