Few minutes have passed and they were having a really good time by talking about Quentin’s middle school life...

“So you were fat back then?” Claira asked.

“Yeah, I was obese.” He chuckled.

“Wow, may I touch your waist to see how slim you are?” she asked.

“Sure.” Quentin laughed, he held her hands and placed them on his waist.

“Wow, you’re sexy aren’t you? Maybe that’s why that girl was talking like that to you.” She smiled.

“Who? Ericka?” he asked then Claira nodded with a giggle.

“Was that the reason why you were smiling at me?” he asked with a smile.

“Yup.”

“We’re just friends.”

“I know, I just noticed her tone of voice.” She grinned.

“Oh so you can read voice now?” Quentin said playfully.

“Oh shut it, I know what a person is feeling by their tones.”

“Well, what am I feeling now?”

“Curious, but that one was really obvious.” She laughed.

“Wow, you really do know.” He said sarcastically.

“Oh whatever!” she laughed again.

“What time is it?”

“11:30.” He said looking at his wrist watch.

“Oh, I have to get home, Ashton is taking me out.” She said.

“I thought you were free for today.”

“only ‘til 12:00, and I have to get ready for him.”

“Oh please, you don’t have to get ready for him, you look fine right now.” He smiled.

“Thanks, but that’s not enough, I have to impress him.” She said.

“Are you serious?” he asked.

“Yeah, come on, take me home.” She smiled.

“Well, Sure, where are you two going?” he asked.

“I don’t know, Kana’s going to take me there, wherever it is.”

“Oh, well, let’s go get you home then.” He smiled. Then suddenly his eyesight went black then it came back 3 seconds later. He stopped for a while then his heart pumped really fast and hard.

“Quentin? You okay?” Claira asked.

“Yeah, let’s go.” He nodded.

He drove Claira to her place and walked her up to their porch. He rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer for Claira.

“Hello, how can I he-, Claira?” Claira’s mother answered the door.

“Hi, mom.” Claira smiled.

“is this the guy you had a date with?” she asked with a wide grin on her face.

“Mom! It wasn’t a date.” Claira said shamefully, then she heard Quentin chuckling.

“come in.” Her mother invited Quentin inside.

“Uuuh, I gotta go get ready now!” Claira said.

“Wait, I’ll fix your clothes, what are going to?” her mom asked.

“A date with Ashton.” She answered.
