The team is sitting around the table in the meeting room, Hotchner and Penelope are setting up the board for the case and you are watching JJ play with her hair while talking to Derek.
There is a new case. You all look at the board as Penelope explains the case. "An unsub in New York is shooting high profile businessman with a history with the company ArmyTech, they used to sell guns and armour to the US Army." You mention quietly, "We used them while I was in the service, they were selling faulty armour to the Army for a shit ton of money" Penelope confirms the faulty armour and you twiddle your thumbs thinking about your fellow men who died because of that faulty armour.
JJ asks Penelope while watching you twiddle your thumbs, "So these businessman, were they executives or are there higher levelled men we need to find?" Penelope answers JJ quickly, "There are 15 higher levelled members that are still targets, we're leaving in 30 minutes, we're meeting with the local police and a few Army Captains".
"Wheels up" Hotchner mutters from the end of the table.

You all make it to the jet, sitting in your usual spots. You always take the seat at the end of the plane, which seats you next to Emily.
You both like to play checkers while flying to each city but JJ always interrupts and asks to play. You let her win and she rubs it in your face every time.
The jet trip is always fast and you land in New York after only an hour on the plane. Half the team goes to the local police station and the other drive to the crime scene. You and JJ set up the board with the suspects and background while Spencer rambles about the history of armour and gun purchases. "Spence? I'm trying not to relive my time in the service, can you recite Amry purchases later?" He looks at you with worry and JJ reaches to hold your hand but you head to the bathroom to collect yourself.
Hotchner calls you, "Y/N, I need your help. The executives have files of every soldier killed and injured by the defective armour, your Company was the only one to receive the armour sold by ArmyTech." You are shocked, your Company was a guinea pig for defective armour. "I am one of 3 people that made it home, the rest were killed and one man left our Company and was moved to another". Hotchner replies, "We'll come back to the station and you can go over the files, let JJ know what we found"
You walk out of the bathroom and slowly make your way over to JJ, she looks confused as to why you're walking so slowly. "JJ? Uh, Hotchner and Derek found the files that ArmyTech had, my Company was the only....only one to receive the defective armour..." You struggle to tell her, she reaches for your hand and holds it until you can muster the courage to tell her the rest. "There were only 4 soldiers who made it out, one being me, and one other being moved to another company to serve in Iraq" After telling her the rest of the team walks in and you pull your hand from her grasp, she is worried about you.
"ArmyTech sold over 2,000 vests and 500 guns but only Y/N's company received them. Why would the army only provide them to Y/N's Company and not the rest of the forces in Afghanistan?" You look at JJ and then turn to Hotchner. "We were guinea pigs, they do it with each provider when the army receives new equipment. 4 people went home from that Company, the rest died because their armour was defective".
Hotchner tells the team, "JJ and Y/N, you go to the old office of ArmyTech and Derek, Spencer and I will talk to the remainders of Y/N's Company" You are annoyed, why can't you reconnect with your old mates, "Hotch, can we switch that? I would rather talk to my old mates. Plus, trust."
"Sure Y/N. Ok see you both back here later then" You and JJ pile into her car and go to find the first soldier who came back home.
