"Ok, new case. We have a serial killer in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unsub is killing joggers in the woods surrounding the Ragged Mountain Reservoir." Garcia says while switching the screen to the photos of the crime scene.
"Any indications of sexual assault on the joggers?" You ask as she looks over to you, "On the female joggers yes, but the men are untouched. Although, the male joggers have been sliced up...down there." You start thinking about MO as Hotch says, "Ok, we'll split into two and head to Charlottesville."

The team is in two. Derek, Reid and Hotch in one and Emily, JJ and you in the other. Rossi stayed behind to help Garcia. "How many people has this unsub gotten?" You ask Emily and JJ. "6, 2 men and 4 women. He dumps them by the reservoir on display." Emily responds.
You all make it to the local police station and set up the board. "Is there a pattern for timing between each kill?" You point out and Reid speaks up quick and says, "2 days between each, we found the last victim yesterday."
"What's the plan Hotch? Do we pose someone or stakeout?" You ask him with a bit of a hidden smile, you love stakeouts. "For now, we'll talk to victims' families and head to last locations. But it may end with a pose or stakeout yes, Y/N." He replies.
"Uh, Y/N and Emily you head to the latest victims family. Morgan and Reid head to the latest dump site and JJ and I will stay here and meet up with the chief." Hotch sends you all off and you pass a smile to JJ as you leave with Emily.

You and Emily drive to the latest victims house, the Carter family. You both get out of the car and make it up the patio stairs. Emily points to the door and says quietly, "Y/N, there's a religious family sticker on the door." You laugh and let Emily take the lead on questions.
"So Mr and Mrs Carter, your daughter Megan left the house last night at what time?" She asks them while you look around the room for anything out of the ordinary. The victim's younger sister comes down the stairs with her teddy bear and smiles at you and Emily. "Around 6:45, she was going for a run but she doesn't take her phone with her.Oh god, why doesn't she?" The younger sister watches her mother tear up and looks over to you.
"Hi, I'm Y/N, who are you?" She smiles and replies, "Lucy." You start to tear up and walk over to her, "What a beautiful name, Lucy!" You grab her hand and ask her to walk you to her room. She shows you her toys and games while Emily finishes talking to the parents.
"So, Lucy? Does your sister run a lot?" Lucy is playing with her teddy and says quietly, "when she's angry or worried." She responds. You ask her gently to not scare her, "Lucy, was Megan angry or worried when she ran last night?"
"Mummy and Daddy were yelling at her, so, angry. They were arguing about Tracy." You haven't heard of a Tracy yet so you ask another question, "Who's Tracy? A friend?" Lucy stops playing for a second and looks over at you. "Tracy is a cuddle friend. They are more than friends."
You keep playing with Lucy's toys until Emily stands in the doorway and says, "Y/N, we have to go."
You hug Lucy and head out the door.
"Em, she was dating a girl. Tracy. We have to notify another person." You look at Emily with a disheartened look. "I'll drop you off at the station and I'll go alone." You are relieved. You could only imagine what Tracy is going to go through.

Emily drops you off and you make it into the bullpen. Hotch and JJ are joking around in the board room as you walk in and sit down quietly.
JJ looks at you and worries, she says quietly to Hotch. "Give us a minute?" He smiles and walks out of the room.
She walks over to you and bends down, "Y/N? Is everything ok?" You can't muster any words. She rests her hand on your knees to let you know she's there and you slowly say, "The latest victim, she was dating a girl." JJ seems confused and asks, "I am too, what's wrong?" You look up at her, "Her parents were religious. Her sister listened to them arguing about her girlfriend. She died an hour later thinking her parents thought she was a sin."
JJ moves her hands from your knees and pulls over a chair. "Y/N, she would have passed thinking about the love of her life, not being with her and waiting for her on the other side. Just like I would." You start to tear up and get out of the chair abruptly. You walk to the bathroom and look yourself in the mirror.
JJ follows you in. "Y/N, what's going on? Why are you so upset?" She asks and you respond, "Her little sisters name was Lucy. My mother's name was Lucy. She looked like her in the pictures I have of my mother." You collapse to the floor. JJ drops down and holds you. Your crying into her chest as she rubs your back.
"Y/N, tell me about her." You catch your breathe and tell JJ about your amazing mother. "She had her troubles but she was an amazing mother. She was caring and considerate and would always make me bacon and eggs for breakfast. Her smile was contagious and I would get lost in the books she would read to me. She would stroke my hair and play dolls with me. She was everything to me." JJ is still holding you on the floor and starts to tear.
A knock at the door interrupts your gentle moment. "JJ, Emily needs to talk to Y/N." She picks you up and wipes the tears from your face. Kisses you on the forehead and walks you out of the bathroom.
