JJ's Secret Lover

JJ's Secret Lover - Part 13

"We're here!" JJ screams to you as if you can't hear her, you both head out of the car and into the elevator to head back into the office.

You haven't been in the office since you left for Washington, you think it'll look all different but you come to realise it hasn't changed in the slightest.

JJ walks up to her office and sits down at her desk. You're at your usual desk. You are always next to Emily, whether it's on the plane or at your desks.

You look at JJ through her window, she's going through files that she needs to catch up on. Hotch calls the team to the briefing room, there's a new case! The team makes their way to the room, you knock on JJ's door and tell her that Hotch called us in. She gets up and walks to the door, you let her pass and are the last one to get to the room. Asking Hotch at the door, "Can I talk to you for a second?" He asks Garcia to start the meeting, JJ notices the seat next to her is empty and looks up to see you closing the door to talk to Hotch.

"I need you to do me a favour. I need you to take my gun, just for a little while. Keep it with you, if we really need to use it, I'll come get it off you." He nods and opens the door to the room, JJ looks at you. She looks worried and watches you sit in the chair.

"You ok?" She whispers, you nod and look up at Penelope to listen to the new case. "We have 3 missing kids in Pennsylvania..." she looks at JJ and finishes her sentence, "East Allegheny, Pennsylvania to be precise." You are confused why she looked at JJ between her sentence, you ask JJ "Is that your hometown?" she nods and asks Penelope, "How long have they been missing?" You place your hand on her thigh to comfort her. She puts her hand on yours and listens to what Penelope replies, "About 29 hours, they went missing from the high school and their parents called the local PD who called us to find you, to help with the case." Her leg starts to move up and down quickly, she's anxious, you move your hand up and down her thigh to calm her down and you see a small grin form on her face.

"Wheels up in 30." Hotch says from the other side of the table. Everyone gets up, you tell JJ to stay for a second. "JJ, I'm here for you. Do I need to know anything?" You ask her, she simply replies, "Just memories of my sister, I hate going back there." You hug her tightly, and tell her to grab her go-bag for the jet.

You both walk to the car, and you head to the jet with the team. Before you both get out you grab onto her hand and quickly say, "I'm right here, the whole time. Like you were for me." She smiles and looks out the window to check if the team can see you, she swiftly kisses you on the cheek. And then jumps out of the car.

"Ready to go boss!" You say to Hotch as you hand him your gun, he puts it into his go-bag and you walk up the stairs. You, Emily and JJ perform the same jet routine. You sit next to Emily and you both play checkers. JJ comes over and asks to play and you let her win.

The flight goes by quick and the team has landed in East Allegheny. Half the team goes in one car and the other half in the other. Emily, JJ, and you are in one. And Derek, Spencer, Hotch and Rossi are in the other.

JJ sat with you in the back of the car while Emily drove you all to the motel. You reach over to hold her hand, but she pulls away from you, looking at Emily. "Hey Em, remember that time you and Hotch had that fling. Remember what I said to you?" She turns to look at you and says to JJ, "I know. They've had a crush on you since they joined the team. I'm a profiler, it's not hard to see" You laugh and Emily smiles. JJ has a big surprised look on her face and reaches over to hold onto your hand. Her face is bright red. "The boys don't know, just me." Emily says while turning back to look at the road.

You make it to the hotel and Emily helps you sneak into JJ's room before the boys find out. JJ changes into pyjamas and you smile when you notice they have My Little Pony characters on them. "Hey, although you're wearing the cutest  and funniest pyjamas. We need to have a serious talk" You say while admiring her clothes. She nods and sits down next to you on the bed.

"I assume Emily told you everything. I haven't touched alcohol since I came back from deployment, I was pretending to be drunk with you. I had to, you were dancing which I've never seen. But, Emily has been there for me, through the thick and thin. I'm sorry to put you through all that, and obviously it won't happen again." She looks at you with the sweetest look and reaches over to hug you, she catches you at a weird angle and your wound from the explosion makes you wince. She pulls back and apologises, but you grab her hands and lay down with her.

"Y/N, I will go through it all with you. I don't want to lose you, so I'm with you all the way." She whispers before both of you fall asleep in each other's arms.
