JJ's Secret Lover - Part 10

You are all sitting down having dinner, telling stories and laughing about the team. You finish your last bite when Emily rushes out of her seat and says "Sorry, I've got to go. JJ, thanks for dinner. Y/N, I'll come back around tomorrow." She kisses you on the cheek and heads out the door.

You get up to help JJ clear the table but she stops you and says "No worries, I've got it. Slow down." She finishes cleaning the table and helps you over to the couch. You sit down and she sits next to you, you place your head in her lap and she picks a movie to watch.

She falls asleep before the movie ends, you shake her a little and whisper, "JJ, head to bed, I'll be ok." She settles you in, double checking you have enough blankets and then heads upstairs. You close your eyes and fall asleep almost instantly.

JJ's Perspective: 

I'm a light sleeper and hear everything. I woke up to a strange noise downstairs. 

A crashing sound, I check the time on my phone *4:30am*. I get up and run downstairs. Y/N is holding onto one of their crutches and Will is standing in front of them. "You're the replacement then? God, that was quick." 

I notice that Y/N has a bloody lip and blood running from their t-shirt. I tried to get to them, but Will holds me back "If I was you, I would stay out of it." He says to me as I run to get my phone. I call 911 and Emily, they're on their way. I walk back over to Will and Y/N. 

"God you're so weak Y/N" He says holding his gun, waving it around the room. He's clearly drunk so I tried to talk sense into him. "Will, leave them alone. I haven't replaced you, they're just staying here for a few days."

I notice Y/N lift themselves up, "Will, leave her alone. And put that fucking gun down. You're drunk." They reach for his gun, they both fight for it. The gun fires. 

It didn't hit anyone.

It fires again, everyone stops. Looking around for where the bullet hit.

I check my body up and down, it hit me in the shoulder. I feel dizzy.

Back to Y/N's perspective: 

You notice JJ had been hit by the bullet, you push Will out of the way and pick up JJ. You carry her bride style out of the door and notice Emily pulling up into the driveway. 

"Emily! She's been hit, help me get her to the hospital." Emily told the officers to arrest Will and she opens the back door. You give JJ to her and take her keys. 

You drive over the speed limit with sirens on and make it to the hospital. You open your door and rush around to the back seats to take JJ from Emily. You carry JJ to the doors and yell, "Anyone? Help, doctor!" They wheel over a bed and you put JJ on it. Emily runs in behind you. 

"Y/N, what happened?" Emily looks over at you, she looks down and sees you bleeding. "Is that yours or JJ's?" She asks. You feel dizzy and sit down. "I'm fine, find out about JJ's condition."

A few hours later, you're waiting in JJ's room. Waiting for her to wake up, the nurse comes in to redo your stitches and brings you an ice pack for your face.

"Y/N?" You jump up and grab onto JJ's hand. "Hey, you ok?" you ask her as she moans and grunts while getting up. "Y/N? Is that my blood or yours?" She looks at your wound from the explosion, "I'm fine, the nurse was just about to re-stitch it" her face begins to look worried. "Look at your lip, you're bleeding. What happened?"

You struggle to piece together a sentence, you get up and walk over to the door. "JJ? I need to do something, Emily is here though and I'll tell her to come in. You'll be ok, I'll be back soon." The nurse yells out to you, "I haven't started, you're bleeding." They both yell out to you to stop but you too distracted to stop.

You grab Emily's keys from your pocket and get back into her car.

You drive to the house and grab a new set of clothes and then drive to the police station. You flash your badge to the front desk and walk to Will's cell. "Oi, fucker, look at me." He stands up, still drunk and tries to swing at you through the bars. 

You dodge it and tell the officer to open the cell door. You ask the officer to leave the room and lock the door. He does so.

You look Will dead in the eye and say, "You come anywhere near JJ, with or without a gun. I will shoot you. You hear me?" You continue to look him in the eye and swing at him. Knocking him down. You pick him up by his collar and whisper to him, "I served buddy, you're drunken ugly appearance at her house, not cool man, you so much as make a tiny move in the wrong direction. You're dead. Hear me?" He nods and you let him go. You head out the cell and out the door back into the car.

You drive back to the hospital and run back into JJ's room. You see Emily at her side and ask the nurse for an ice pack and bandage, "You need to be re-stitched." You look at the nurse and say "Do it in there, I'm not leaving her side." 

She gets her instruments and takes you into JJ's room.
