JJ's Secret Lover - Part 15

You and JJ make it to the high school. She runs through the doors and you are right behind her. Hotch walks out of the counsellor's office with Mr Howard and you make sure JJ doesn't do something she'll regret.

The team is back at the station and Hotch is deciding who should interview Mr Howard. "I can do it, just need something from him to connect." Emily says from the edge of the huddled team, you look at JJ and she's biting her nails. "JJ and I will do it." You look at Hotch, with a bit of a death stare, as he agrees to it.

JJ give Hotch her gun walks into the interview room as you whisper to Hotch, "I've got her boss. It'll be quick and easy." You head in behind her.

You sit down on one of the seats as JJ starts to pace. "We have people searching your house and laptop, we have a warrant" She says as her pacing stops. He looks up to JJ and says, "What Roslyn and I had was different. We really loved each other." JJ whispers to him, "I know" and she hands him the necklace. "Roslyn gave me her necklace, to show me how you and her were special", she continues, "Where's Bethany?". He smirks and says, "She's where I keep all the kids who were special to me." JJ taps you on the thigh and stands up, you turn to Howard and say, "We'll be right back."

You open the door for JJ and she quickly says to Emily, "She's at the school." The team get ready and jump into the car, JJ is fidgeting in the car and you can't do anything because Hotch is in the same car.

You get to the school. JJ leads the team to the trophy case. A door next to it labelled 'Staff Only', you push the door open and JJ rushes through it. 

"What's this grate?" You look at JJ and point to it, Derek says it's an electrical storage room but the team had already checked it. "We need to check through the room again." You lift the grate and the team heads down. 

Everyone starts looking through the room, JJ points to a locked cupboard. You look for something to smash it with, you find a pipe and hit the lock off. The girl is inside. JJ pulls her out and starts compressions.

You all hear a faint gasp and the team takes her to the hospital. "I need to talk to Howard again" JJ says to Hotch as they load her into the ambulance. "Take Y/N with you." He says and she pushes you to the other car.

She drives quickly back the station and heads to the interview room. She places her gun on the table outside and tells you to go in first. She notices you don't put your gun down and says quietly, "Y/N, you can't take that in there." You turn around, not knowing what she is talking about and then you let out a sigh, "I don't have it. Hotch has it." You open the door to the interview room and sit down with Howard. 

"You don't have much time, JJ is on her way and she's not happy." You say quietly to Howard, he looks frightened and says back to you, "I loved them both. They were special." JJ barges in and says angrily, "You put my sister in your trophy case, because she just was another one of your trophies." Howard puts his head in his hands and says, "That's not true, it's not." She gets up and throws him into a pair of handcuffs and tells you to put him into a cell. You notice she isn't leaving with you.

"Hey, Officer, put this asshole into a cell." You point to one of the local officers and give Howard to him. You head back into the interrogation room to see what is wrong with JJ.

"Y/N, start talking. Now." She looks at you with a frustrated and tired look, you don't know what she's talking about so you ask, "About what J?". She slams her hand onto the table and you notice through the door the team walking into the station.

"You don't have your gun? You could have gotten yourself killed?" She yells as she pushes her hair out of her face. "J. Calm down. I told Hotch I'd get it from him if I needed it." She continues to get angry and yells, "You can't go around without your gun, it isn't safe." 

You sit down and let her take her feelings out on you. You know she's tired and frustrated because of the case so you just let it happen.

"Y/N, I can't save you from a gunman or an unsub if you're alone and without a weapon." She's still yelling and you quietly add in some words, "J. I can't trust myself with a gun right now."

She slams her hand on the table again. You jump at the noise. "J. I'm not talking about this now or here." She yells, "No, now. How stupid can you be to go into a case like this without a gun? What if he had one or one of the girls did?" She paces. You can see Emily through the door and mouth the words, "Em, I need out." 

JJ paces to the door and shuts it as Emily reaches it. "Why? Y/N. I need an answer." 

The only way she'll let you go is if you tell her so you do. "J, when I came back from deployment...I was depressed and had seen a lot of stuff. I asked Emily to take my gun off of me because I was a risk to myself. I did the same when Will came in to the house, I just asked Hotch cause he's my boss." She just stands there. She starts rambling and you aren't listening. You can't sit there and take it so you get up and walk out the door. "Y/N, we need to talk about this."

She grabs onto your arm...
