JJ's Secret Lover - Part 7

"So, Dave Cameron, was he on our list? Or a whole new suspect?" You ask Hotch as you are in the car, "Dave Cameron was the other suspect, but his last location is outdated." 

"His last known location was his mother's house, but she sold that house about 7 years ago." JJ reads from the file. "So no social security activity or credit card activity? Has his mother seen him since she sold the house?" You ask Hotch, he replies "No activity, she's not seen him since the sale. All she said about him was that he was crazy like his father and believed in the end of the world" 

"End of the world?" You ask, he says yes. "What are you thinking Y/N?" JJ asks, "End of the world, as in the Doomsday kind of thinking? Do we have blueprints on the house?" you are trying to piece it together.

"BUNKER!" you shout, "He's in a bunker, Hotch check the blueprints for anything build around or under the house!" You turn the car around and head to the mother's old house.

You get there after speeding through some traffic, screeching into driveway and noticing the house is empty. 

"I think he bought the house anonymously, because he had a house under it that he couldn't simply move." You rush out of the car, and the three of you seperate to find an entrance into the bunker.

All you can think about is JJ while searching for the unsub, you are walking around the edge of the property when you step on something metal. Quietly shouting, "JJ! Hotch!" They rush over and you all get ready to go down. 

You are standing by the hatch, with JJ and Hotch behind you. You reach for the handle and pull it open. You are the first to go, you slowly make your way down. JJ and Hotch right behind you, you find Dave. "FBI! FREEZE!" you shout to Dave. You look him up and down, you see a strange shape in his shirt. You quietly say to JJ, "JJ, get back slowly and take Hotch with you" she's confused but follows what you tell her. 

"Dave, hi, my name is Y/N. How are you?" you ask him, he looks you up and down and says "I am fuming. I assume you're here because of WSS?". JJ and Hotch have almost made it back to the top of the bunker, "Yes Dave, you were on our list. Mr Spinns told us about you as well, said you were complaining every day you worked there." 

"Oh did he? Complaining?" He unzips his sweater, a vest is revealed. A small amount of C4 and a detonator in his hand. JJ watches as you creep closer to him, "Dave, let's not take this out of proportion, tell me about it. I could do something about it, help you."

"God you sound just like them, all of them. You can't bring someone back from the dead. That awful company took everything from me." He says, as you try to calm him down. "Dave, tell me about it. Come on man, let's not take anymore lives." He raises his hand, "Don't tell me what to do, that company took the love of my life." You watch his finger on the detonator. "Dave, tell me about her." 

"I met her in high school, she was a cheerleader and I was a geek. I wouldn't have imagined her even looking my way." He speaks about her while you slowly put your gun back in its holster.

"She was magical, she would smile and you just felt the need to smile back. She was warm, strong and brave like no other person. They took her from me" Still watching his finger, you tell him to continue. "One of their high rollers, a tosser who was so scared that he was a target that he brought his own gun around with him. My wife was walking down the street and the high roller was coming towards her with his body guard."

He continues but you are noticing his finger is slowly lowering towards the button, "He thought she was going to rob him and instead of just walking by for the bodyguard to do his job, he pulled out his gun. She was listening to music and didn't hear him at all. Someone with that amount of money can get away with anything. And to stop anyone, even the sweetest woman alive, he decided to just shoot." 

You are getting worried he might press the button, "Dave, let's think about it. You can walk out of this bunker, calmly and legally destroy him rather than literally. I will help you, the whole way." 

He's still got his finger on the button, he thinks about your offer but then you say, "You can find another love." 

"Don't you dare! I don't want that sappy shit about finding another person." You can't risk it so you slowly back up, "Dave, think about it."

You see his finger slowly push down, you decide to just risk it and run up the stairs. You push JJ out the bunker and make sure you close the door.

*BANG*
