"Okay, am I supposed to have fun with the stupid shit you're telling me?!"

Blade rolled his eyes as his father was laughing like crazy and his mother was coughing a little, looking effortlessly beautiful but also damn sorry for her son because... Well, his father was using him as target as he was shooting arrows at him.

"Father, I am serious." He dodged elegantly another of his father's arrows, as her mother was enjoying the good family time.

Son and father training, her being cool with their dogs sat next to her with the knights cheering for Blade for not dying at yet another arrow thrown by his father.

Ah yes, quality time.

Xing's family Head, Ying, was a terrific, smart, sly General. He had always been a barbarian of the north country, known for how many people he had slained in the name of the great Empire. His knowledge about war was absolutely something between genius and just crazy, Yet his strategies, and his combat styles were just unmatched, and of course his son had to get all of that under hard training since he was little.

The way he met Layla was kinda funny. He was basically on a patrol in one of the villages threaten by monsters and it just happened to meet her ruby eyes. Nobody could ever believe a beast like him could fall in love and actually become something like a puppy once close to Layla. When in battle, he looked like a scary wolf with his long dark hair and dark eyes, slaining with no mercy, when with Layla, we was just... particular.

Layla was the most beautiful woman in that village and maybe the whole North land. She had ruby eyes, and long red curly hair. A fairy to Ying's eyes, a witch to tons of people outside the village. She was definitely smaller than Ying, but somehow everyone would say they both fell in love at first sight and maybe she was the reason why Ying accepted the title of duke from the Emperor in person. He wanted to give her everything he could.

"You're saying you travelled to the future and the Royal Family killed us?" Ying asked to then roll his eyes, shooting another arrow at Blade

"Yes, father. I know it may sound.."

"May?! It is! You idiot! You're just trying to distract me from the training, do you think I will go easy on you even if you just got yourself the title of Conqueror of Thausands Battles? Hah! I won more than those!"

"I am just twenty-four, father!" Blade exclaimed to then grit his teeth "There's no time for it, I am serious!"

Layla sighed and crossed his arms "Love, Blade might be really stubborn, sometimes even arrogant and stupid.." she kept listing under Blade's annoyed stare

"Mother..."

"But! He's no fool, he wouldn't play on such things" she continued to then point the finger at the two men, who sighed and let their weapons down to sit next to her like dogs "Good boys..."

Blade crossed his arms, enjoying his mother's caress. Somehow his heart was warm. Seeing her alive and holding still her firm spirit, was making him realize how much he really didn't want them to die in such awful death.

"Indeed" Blade's eyes were full of madness "The Royal family will betray us for the power and reputation we've gained... The current Emperor loves us, it's the Crown Prince... That man, Dan Heng, will kill us as soon as the incoronation will happen"

"The Crown Prince..." Ying sighed "The Emperor is keeping him well hidden. All I have seen of him was his usual big cape hiding his hair and mask to his face..." he crossed his arms "Honestly I think he does that because he looks uglier than me" he laughed to then get his wife's slap straight to his neck.

"The Emperor is just hiding him and using probably doubles to make it hard to find the real Crown Prince... I heard in the inner territories, those close to the Empire, there have been assassination attempts" Layla sighed "Nobody knows where the real crown Prince is... Tons still stay he's in the capital but we shouldn't care much considering we already have the hold on the military... I mean" Ying smiled proudly when Layla did pat his head "You hold the militia, you're doing such a great job, Ying" she said and Blade rolled his eyes when he noticed the two closing themselves in a bubble full of hearts and sweet comments.
