26. This Broken Heart was the Beginning.

"So today... Finally I will understand what the hell is happening" Evias muttered with the ranger unit on the walls of the city, as Luocha was sitting at the border, eating an apple

"The General should be coming soon... I heard the Great Mage has appeared in the plaza already" Luocha did laugh a little "Are you really that excited for this meeting?"

Evias sat next to his brother "Of course, once it's done, Fenir will be without any protection. I need to kill him."

Luocha did giggle a little to then press the finger on Evias' forehead "I have done my research about bloodstrings around wrists you know?"

Evias' blue eyes opened up "Really?! What did you discover?"

Luocha bit his own lips, trying not to burst into laughs "Even if you kill him, the mark will stay"

Evias felt dead.

"Yes, the only way to get it off is... Well, the vampire has to find someone else to mark with the same string. It's like... hm... switch of prey?" Luocha did pat his shoulder and laughed "I mean, you can just kill him, after all that bloodstring will be there but won't be harmful"

"I will still see it and I fucking hate that" Evias rolled his eyes to the grit his teeth "I will find a way to force that motherfucker to unwrap it off my wrist" he muttered to then stand up along with the other elves when sounds came from the forests.

"Oh..." Luocha stretched to then smirk "There you are"

Jing Yuan was on his horse, with imperial soldiers behind him. His golden eyes looked up as the wind was moving a little his long silver hair. He raised a little the hand to protect his own eyes from the sun rays and he smiled softly at the sight of the ranger unit staring at them

"I am General Jing Yuan, I was sent by the Emperor to attend to an important meeting with the North Duke" Jing Yuan spoke like he had to look in front of his soldiers as he was still following the Emperor's will.

The Elves knew the General was theorically sent by the Emperor not for a meeting.

But for something else as Haru definitely made everything go faster than expected.

"I am Luocha, General of the Ranger Unit. Is there a reason why you came with a full unit? There was no need to show off the Emperor's Guards' wealth" Luocha spoke as he looked at his elves who moved fast off the walls to check on the forest and see if the Emperor actually sent more men.

Jing Yuan noticed how fast the elves were moving away from the walls leaving Luocha and Evias standing there and looking at them.

"I apologise, I do not mean to look like a threat. To bring a unit, that was the Emperor's order to ensure my safety as last week the inner territories dukes... tons have been slained." he explained "I am pretty sure you would be capable to handle us. As we speak I know you're surrounding us with your unit, general" he smiled softly "But you also should know..." his golden eyes almost glowed locking on Luocha "That if you threat a Royal Guard General, you threat the Emperor." his voice was serious and merciless.

"Luocha, I think the Emperor sent Jing Yuan for something more than a meeting. But it's also true... The Duke said he's on our side... Which we still have to figure it out but..." Evias sighed close to his brother "Stop teasing, or our Lord will be mad"

Luocha sighed "My my, you flatter us, general. We would never dare!" he smiled innocently "We were just making sure both parts were safe" he looked at Jing Yuan "Welcome ot the North Territories."
