"This is seriously... Fascinating"
Blade rolled his eyes on the horse as he kept an eye on the vampire riding next to him.
"So you truly can summon bloodbirds using your disgusting blood, I have never seen the North Duke doing it. I thought only your father could" Fenir smirked as Blade and Ying were riding fast towards the town, seeing what was happening through the bloodbirds.
Dan Heng.
Dan Heng.
His mind was rushing everything about him and the image of his expression at the sight of his brother.
Ying looked at Blade "Blade. You know you can't do what you're planning. I forbid you."
Blade grit his teeth and the knights and Fenir were tilting their heads.
Ying knew it.
Ying was worried for Layla, because he was slowly getting in his head the Emperor was just how Blade did describe in his... time travel?
This meant.
His wife died in the arms of the Crown Prince who now was in front of her.
Even if he wanted to slain like a wild man Dan Heng's brother, he knew it wasn't a good idea.
Theorically nobody knew Dan Heng and his brother were the Emperor's son.
Theorically, they had to act like they were just... nobodies.
Blade and Ying had to keep the act up.
The convoy soon entered in the town and Ying soon reached his wife. He took her in his arms and made her sit on his horse "Layla, honey, I am back" he smiled and Layla did giggle a little
"Ying!" Layla did pat his hair and showered him in kisses like he was a puppy when outside everyone looked at the Grand Duke like a big bear holding a little woman in his arms on a beast in disguise as war horse "Welcome back" she said happily.
The knights soon cheered the ones who went on the expeditions and the elves of the ranger unit waved at the soldiers happily as the civils were happily waving at the Grand Duke's return.
Dan Heng's eyes were still holding his brother's hand with such a sad stare.
When he heard the horses and the soldiers, his blue eyes opened up as he noticed Blade getting off his horse and holding still the sword hilt with a serious stare.
Please.
Please, don't tell me you want to kill him... Please, please.
"Wow..." Fenir commented to then sigh and look at the knights next to him keeping him on check "Why am I being treated like a prisoner? I am theorically your ally" he whispered annoyed to then flinch and smirk.
His red eyes moved following an invisible line of perfume, and that's when Evias felt shivers as he was still next to Dan Heng and Luocha. He looked behind Blade and his blue eyes locked on the vampire who tilted his head "Oh, look who's also here"
"You." Evias grit his teeth feeling in awe to then flinch as he felt his own wrist pulled towards the vampire.
Luocha's green eyes did focus on his brother and held him from falling "Evias, are you okay?" he asked and the elf looked at his brother and then the Vampire who had such an evil grin printed in his face as he was winking a little, holding the bloodstring only he could see wrapped around the wrist.
"What the fuck... Ah... I am fine" Evias said to then step back with his brother as Blade reached the two.
"Blade..." Dan Heng said with a soft voice to then cough "Duke" he muttered, bowing to then look at him with a desperate expression.
